i use a 28" thomson TV/DVD combi for gaming although i hook everything up to my AV receiver then connect via a composite cable.

Don't have the cash for a HDTV right now although i would like to get one which would then become monitor as well as tv

I use the ancient Amiga RGB monitor 1084 for most stuff. I dont have any new generation consoles, if so I would use them over hdmi on my pc display.

Sony PVM-2043MD all the way for me. Might reconsider if I ever get into newer consoles, but then I'll probably hunt for a HD CRT since I don't really like TFTs, at least any which I've seen so far (and yes, I think sharpness is a good thing, so I don't dislike them because of that).

I originally bought the PVM even though I live in RGB SCARTland because I thought an expensive professional monitor would surely have a better and sharper picture than any TV...well, it's certainly much better than an average CRT TV, but by no means as perfect as I expected it would be. There's lots of blooming (much more than on my PC's CRT) for example.

Right now all I can afford is a 24 inch CRT Sanyo TV. Its pretty nice. I might get an LCD HDTV or Plasma HDTV one of these days, but thats going to be a long time coming.

CRT HDTV. Only downpoint is that it won't display 1080p, although it supports 1080i and 720p. Sigh.

Take solace in the fact that your CRT TV has better black levels than those of us with LCD and plasma TV's. :p

I use 36" Toshiba CRT for some of my consoles (Xbox360, Wii, N64) and a tate'd smallish (13-14") Samsung CRT for shmups (Saturn, DC, PS1, PS2 DTL-H10000S, and XBOX FBA-XXX Pro).

I have a 22'' Samsung 720p LCD in my room for the daily use and a 37'' Samsung 1080p LCD in the living room, which I rarely use to play games.

4:3 CRT for SD systems (including Wii) and HDTV for PS3 and 360.

We're using my roommate's flat-screen CRT. It's kind of crappy but it's better than what I have.

Sometimes, though, the image droops on the left, like the TV is frowning. It's a Sony, in case anyone is wondering.

Edit: I get it. It's sad because it exists.

Man I'm in a strange mood.

A 16:9 SD CRT currently. Not the best image for PS3/360 gaming (might not be best image for any games actually ^^), but the best I can afford right now. Planning to upgrade in summer. :)

Indeed the game (and the majority of Wii's titles) was designed for this resolution, but flat panels need an at least native resolution input to display crisp images from shorter distances, no matter how good the scaler is. The best way to enjoy your Wii with full resolution and sharp image quality is a 16:9 CRT with progreesive scan (and component inputs) or an EDTV plasma.

I use (or am in the process of setting up) a tri-synch arcade monitor for everything that plays from 240p thru 480p. Sometimes I bust out the old machines on the XRGB-2 + HDTV (LCD) b/c I'm too lazy to put the arcade monitor on it's side (or back normal).

I don't have any current gen, by the way, but I've got the TV once I eventually do.

Oh yes, I do. It totally rocks for gaming. The only other slight down side is scan lines. But it is very good and I am glad I bought it.
