héhé, I enjoy drinking John Smith, Tiger beer, Cruzcampo (here are my favs). Héhé, I don't know what to hear by "smooth" ;-) Well a "endurance beer"?
Victoria Bitter - rat water? you gotta be kidding mate... visit any pub over hear after work and tell them VB is rat water... local boys will be more than willing to correct it (in) polite manner. NFI
Bishops Finger and Hobgoblin are two good ales. I only buy ale, or sometimes stout. Those types are the only ones worth paying for in my opinion. lots of taste, but they are also alot more expensive than other stuff, but i reckon its worth it. As for swedish beer, lager or whatever they call it, i wont drink it.
Real Beer If you want real beer, then try Belgian beer, there are some good ones from Northern France as well. There are dozens different beers you can choose from there, good ones includes: - Duvel - Leffe of course - Hoegaarden - Kriek (beer with cherry and rasperry flavor) Try this website (all in french sorry) and you'll see lots of different beers: http://www.bierebel.com Regards Sabre
Hmm, my mother is from Belgium and my father is a real fan of Belgian beer but I'm not that fond of it... most of it is too sweet and bitter at the same time (like Parc), and the "Witbier" is a bit too sour for my taste. When I was in the UK this weekend, there was a charity beer festival at the local pub (just my luck ), I tried a lot of local brews and I must say that "Old Slug Porter" really stood out... it reminded me of Guinness with a more friendly taste.
