Totally new to this and could use some help.

I have some pre-release builds of a few games, and it's all lose files and .xbe executables. What's my cheapest path of getting these running?

Can I just get the XDK install for my PC and push them to a modded retail Xbox? Do I need a Test Kit? Or does it have to be a Dev Kit?

I'll also need a version of the XDK that falls within a certain range that the pre-release builds would run on. How hard is it to find those files?

    Thanks for any help.

If it's loose files and xbe's, then can't you just slap it in a softmodded xbox and run the executables? Pretty sure that's how that works...

Just use the latest XDK version. Modded Xboxes should work fine for many things, do it over FTP like you normally would. Some games require 128mb of RAM though.

Thanks for the information, all. Like I said, I'm completely new to this, so I appreciate the help.

So even just a softmodded Xbox is enough? Once I transfer the files, the xbe files still wouldn't run due to the system not having the XDK on it, correct? I found this post that claims to have a solution for that, but I'm not sure if I'm going the right direction on this:

    Thanks again.

Most games, emulators and all that are *.xbe files. Pretty sure as long as it does not need the extra ram, and a files are there it should run fine on a soft modded console
