Crackdown was so much fun.

 

Well, I've played GTA4 for an hour or so, and so far my verdict is that it fucking sucks. It looks and sounds like crap, controls like crap, why play this when theres crackdown? Why the fuck is this a 10/10? I guess I'll give it some more time.

 

I went and got all the Resident Evil series when I got my Wii. I really enjoy the games, but my actual completion record is quite terrible. I've started 2 several times over the years but never finished it, and I briefly played REmake a long time ago. The only one I've actually done is Code Veronica on the Dreamcast.

I plan to sit down over the Xmas period and go through the GC versions of 0, REmake, 2, 3, CVX and Resi 4 Wii edition which are currently gathering dust on my shelf.

All three Metroid Prime games are sat there too. I did the first one about six months ago which was excellent so I'm sure I'll get round to the others eventually.

I'm busy enough with real life, it's hard to fit in games that need longer to play. I'm happy to fit in a good session on Battle Fantasia, WipEout HD or Garou: MotW.

 

These were my main concerns as well. I figured I'd buy it since it's one of those games you need to know about, but after playing it over a couple of mate's houses I decided against it, not at full retail anyway. Obviously it's a huge accomplishment technically, but it didn't quite seem robust enough. I couldn't understand the hordes of 10/10s, but then San Andreas got the same treatment and I'll be fucked if I can see why. Horrible game.

 

Yeah, I don't get how this is a 10/10 and Crackdown isn't when Crackdown is way more fun. The game is playable enough that I want to play through it sometime but it's funny how it's a 10/10 and yet nobody fucking cares about it now. Reminds me of Bioshock, that game was the most overrated crap in years, got 11/10's and now nobody gives a fuck about it. If Bioshock didn't have a good storyline I wouldn't have finished it. It was boring and repetitive. If people think that's a perfect game then they just fucking suck. If Bioshock is a 10/10 why isn't Condemned? Of course, people say Halo is overrated, which is fine, but usually people who hate Halo just haven't played it enough or at all. All the Halos have brought more to the genre then most other shooters. Rant rant rant. Peoples tastes in stuff just pisses me off.

 

I'd say the same about MGS4. every PS3 owner i know freaked out about the game and say it's the greatest game EVER made and now their coming into work trying to trade it in for Saint's Row 2 or some crap.

I tried to tell them MGS4 is just a rental, and not worth spending $500 (then) just to play it. once you play through the story there's just a bunch of silly extras to unlock. and when you play through it the 2nd and 3rd time, the story is exactly the same. at least in Bioshock there's different endings. it still need to play through Bioshock without harvesting the Little Sisters...

 

Yeah, MGS4 might be up there. I'd like to play it but your probably right.

I didn't harvest any sisters. As far as I know the only difference in the ending is the little tiny cutscene at the end.

 

I sold most of mine so I don't really have one now :dance:

 

Finally getting around to playing my DS...after having it for like a year or two!

Digimon World DS is pretty cool, I'm gonna try Dawn when I'm finished with it.

I think the only reason I'm enjoying it might be the nostalgia goggles, and how the sprites look JUST LIKE the ones from the anime.

 

All this years games are coming out, haven't finished last years yet. It's crazy.

 

I found something that makes GTA4 a lot of fun. Finding different ways to kill yourself. Its so much fun.

 

i would start with old PC games like Wing Commander: Back in the days i thought: yeah, i have to play that one sometime...i didn't and i'll probably never will so my list would be ridiculously long

 

We all have to play GTA4 sometime. Me and gracianno just had the funniest game ever for like 20 hours.

He got on a motorcycle, did a wheelie, and somehow bursted into flames and I kept jumping out of fast moving vehicles. Fucking hilarious.

 

i was crying most of the time because i was laughing so hard. you should see this guy fly a helicopter. hysterical.

i'd love to get 5 or 6 people going crazy in that game. the possibilities are endless.
