In what way? That was typical of last generation. The GC and XBox are much the same, MOST titles are just 480i.

I tend to get the best graphics version (no multiplatform games for Wii). If the graphics are similar in both consoles then I'd get the cheaper one.

it depended last gen. If i wanted to play it online, like pandora tomorrow, then i took it for ps2, if there was a huge step in the graphics, or it was a fps/3rd person with dual sticks then i opted for xbox, and if it was those little gems like re4, killer 7 and that photograph thing i forgot the name, then it was cube. :)

    Last Gen,
Multiplatform - xbox. Mostly all gcn/ps2 games I bought were exclusives.

This gen i'm still desiding as well as ultimately buying less console games in favor of more psp games.

Half right. Not fully sure but I think the majority of gcn games were 480i but there was a pretty sizeable collection of 480p games.

Xbox on the other hand, the large majority were 480p/i with only a handful that were 480i only.

Last generation I would always favour the multi-platform games on Gamecube simply because i preferred the controller.

This time around, I tend to read up on the different versions and then decide. Usually you'd expect somebody to purchase whichever build looks prettier, but with the Wii in the mix it shakes things up a bit. For example, Madden 07 (Wii) looks significantly worse than its Xbox 360 counterpart, yet the Wii's control scheme makes it much more engaging and (imo) fun.

Last gen, I was sort of a begrudging Xbox owner (there were a few Xbox-exclusive games that I really wanted the system for, but overall I never really wanted Microsoft poking their nose into my hobby). So I usually bought cross-platform games on the Gamecube first (because of slightly better graphics than PS2 and just because I really liked my Cube and wanted to support it), PS2 second, and almost never on Xbox.

Actually wait, I take that back: I bought for Dreamcast first, if the game existed! (e.g., Resident Evil CV, Rajirugi/Radilgy/Radio Allergy, etc.)

This gen, I only have a 360 so far so that's my only choice. But I'm actually pretty happy with it because the 360 version of Marvel Ultimate Alliance seemed to be the best one of all eleventeen-thousand frickin' platforms they made it for, so I probably would've opted for it anyway, and from the sounds of it, Beautiful Katamari might (emphasis on MIGHT) end up being 360-exclusive (source: Kotaku). :katamari: I have a feeling once I get a PS3 (which probably won't be until MGS4 comes out) and a Wii, I might end up opting for PS3 versions first. I'm still not a big fan of giving Bill Gates my money.
