When did Sony release an official 64mb Memory Card?

    A friend showed this to me and I'm wondering, legit item or very good bootleg.

    I would say bootleg too, unless they had a limited release for their dev systems.

    It's a nasty boot for the following reasons.

    The blue isn't uniform and the Playstation 2 is smaller
    The 64MB is all over the place
    The Sony logo isn't sharp in the cut out lines, looks molded.
    The sticker isn't stuck down correctly...
    The card says 'Made in China' where as all memory cards are made in Japan (At least all the ones I have are and this includes early ones to one bought recently).
    The SCPH number is the same as the 8MB ones...

    Are regular memory cards "MagicGate" as the Sony Memory Sticks?

    Wouldn't trust it. The interact memory cards though that come in 16mb, 32mb, and 64mb are more reliable. Plus standard 8mbs are becoming cheap to now.

    Can he post a picture of the PCB inside it?
