Hello I recently acquired an xdk Xenon demo kit and this 20GB HDD Came with it the only information I've found on it is it may somehow relate to the Tokyo Game Show but I do not know for sure. can anyone help me find correct info for this?
I got two of those kits as well, and have been trying to figure that out also. One kit is named Capcom E3 and has some remnants of a Brutal legends build, the other has what I believe to be a halo wars E3 build on it.
Dump the harddrive and we can recover the data from it. Start writing stuff to the drive or messing with it too much, and that chance starts to disappear.
I believe they were responsible for setting up trade shows, etc. I have a 360 development kit with shipping box going from MS TSG to Mad Catz Inc., probably as a trade show loaner or something. Here is information from a LinkedIn profile who worked at MS TSG. Microsoft TSG • Managed the technology set-up for dozens of monthly Microsoft tradeshow exhibits. • Maintained the functionality of exhibits and provided tech support to keynote presenters. • Mass-built hundreds of PC systems for exhibits, including networking all machines together. • Provided support and IT troubleshooting for all Microsoft employees attending conventions.
the drive was already wiped when i got it and then it started making the hdd clicking after the 2nd time i turned on the kit with it in.
Doesnt matter if it is wiped. Still could be recovered. Plenty of tricks to try to get around the clicks, some dumb but could work.
I took it apart it's a 20gb Samsung HDD but the logic board smells burnt keep in mind the Microsoft seal was gone like it's been taken apart before. maybe someone could have switched it out for a retail HDD and that one decided to die.
