I was told to not write in white letters, since it is getting hard to read the text in brighter forum skins. so until now I wasn't even aware of the other skins, because since ever I have registered in here, I use the original (default) skin which is also by far the nicest of all. the strange thing, if using a dark skin with white text, it seems that the forum does not self convert/adjust the text color for white (bright) skins.
Yes the editing system doesn't seem to have a non formating colour so if you set text as black or white then it may not appear in the edit box or the post. If you unselect WYSIWYG editing in your User CP then you can remove the [color] bits so you can make sure your text is posted normally and will be black on white skins and white on black skins. I do like the Black skin, makes the website seem a little like you are writing it on a high resolution monochrome VGA monitor...
I've been using hazylazy blue 100% for some time know and find it to be less strain on the eye plus I like the color scheme. So yes, please stick to the default text color and everyone is happy.
The black skin. IMO the hazylazy ones look a lot like the default vBulletin skin, which I don't like at all.
Default. My browser kept switching the setting back in the beginning when I tried to use hazylazy, got it fixed but grew accustomed to the default skin so it stayed.
Recently switched from the original skin to the HazyLazyBlue100% Skin. Took a little getting used to but it's a nice and fresh skin to use.
I voted for the default as that is the one I have used since registering but I have just changed to give hazylazyblue a try. It does seem less harsh on the eye at first but it just doesn't feel right. I will try it for a few days and report back.
Hazylazyblue was the default when I joined (though I know the red and black was the original, and then added shortly after I joined again), so I stick with it
