I WAS going to ask Driveclub or Project Cars but I'll open it up. I've heard a case for the Crew, Forza 5 and 6 (not for me though since I won't get an XBONE for a while if ever) and Need for Speed Rivals (on my list but not a priority as I'm still mucking around with Most Wanted 2012) It doesn't feel right we don't have Ridge Racer 8 Next Gen does not begin UNTIL WE GET A RIDGE RACER!. But given what we got what reigns supreme?
Easily Assetto Corsa. Not much of a racer as a simulator, but it is still very fun and there are online matches you can join. The only reason I got it was to do this...
Forza 6 is easily the best as far as pure playability goes. Assetto Corsa has great physics but barely any content. Project CARS is a buggy clusterfuck and they treat their customers like shit, Driveclub is just bad all around. NFS Rivals has ridiculous rubberband AI and stupid gadgets that barely make it feel like a racing game at all. Still, it's better than the new NFS...
What? Never been mistreated on their forum and i'ma regular there. Also the do actually communicate with their users...
I don't get the hate on Forza 5, haven't played 6 yet but it's probably gonna be good. If only Microsoft would bring back PGR.
I'd say Forza 6 or the new GT (when it comes out) since they are the most in depth and are more than just "here's a classic F1 car,go run this around Laguna Seca for a couple of laps"
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dirt_Rally It's already out on PC, consoles will be getting it in April. Great reviews so far.
Forza 6 - Single player only. DiRT Rally - Can't play tired, drunk or sick. You'll need 100% attention on this one. Forza Horizon 2 - Very fun, even online. Ignore the following - The Crew - Buggy af Need For Speed - Physics so bad I had so much trouble trying to attempt to them. Makes Tokyo Xtreme Racer look like best driving sim on the market.
I like Need for speed Most wanted, and Rivals appears to be that but more of it. The new NFS may as well not exist since it's online only and probably also mean to even play it you have to sign up for EA Bullshit.
Nope, online only. You can choose to have a 'private' game but it still requires you to log in and have an active internet connection to play. Most Wanted you can play totally offline.
It seems like EA have gone crazy with this. Do they even make single player games anymore? Watch Mass Effect 4 be online only.
It's because they're terrified of "pirates" who make up like 2% of the gaming populace. That or they want more targeted ad money.
