Who is playing Fallout 3 on PC?
I need a Screenshot from the Pipboy 3000 in a very high resolution:
I need the STAT Screen with all full energy and in Green.
If possible the RAD Meter should be at 4,5

    Thanks

I was getting really pissed last night, "SUCK"uROM wasn't letting me play the game...I restarted my PC and I could play it again, but I was about to go on a rampage there for a second.

BTW, Henners, Graciano...I try to get the PC version of a game whenever I can. Bigger screen, when you consider how close you are to the monitor and its size, superior FPS rates, graphics, etc.

And I used to be a big time thinker of the ol' "Controller beats keyboard and mouse", but that was mainly because I was a n00b to keyboard and mouse...now I understand which one is the superior one.

Call me an elitist or a fanboy, but about the only thing that seperates PC gamers from console gamers is where they sit and what they use to control their characters. If you don't take into account that the PC version will all around outperform the console version.

PC games are installed on a machine that handles the bulk of my work - not risking it.

my pc and 360 are both hoooked up to the same size monitor, the saem EXACT monitor to be exact on a duel monitor set up on my desk.

i wasn't starting a PC vs console debate. many pc gamers state that pc gamign is dead.

I like them both but the majority of games are just better on a console. FPS and RTS etc work great on PC, but then theres stuff like Halo etc that is awesome on a system.I'd say something like Fallout is suited better for a PC, but are you really going to want to play Devil May Cry on a PC? Sure you can use a controller but a lot of the time games like that get shitty ports, and sometimes in the long run who knows what won't run when you sometime get a new PC. Are you going to play fighters on a PC? Maybe on an emu or something. You get what I mean.

PC gaming is alive and well. Its just not what it used to be. My Grandma is an avid PC gamer, though her titles of choice include "peggle" and sudoku. She's not alone either, there is huge money to be made from casual online gamers.

The problem with PC games now as far as retail sales go, only triple-A games receive sales volume that justifies their production costs. PC games used to be the haven for indie developers with just a few team members putting everything together. This has largely shifted to downloadable games on current-gen consoles, and left the PC market struggling.

Because of so many other options now, many consumers expect to just buy a PC game and have it run, because they have a computer (even though its six years old and can only check e-mail and browse the web). Because of this, returns of PC games in recent years have made some (read: many) retailers limited the PC games they carry or remove them entirely with the exception of a rack of Popcap games hidden somewhere in the store.

Lets not forget how most of the titles worth buying on the PC are possessed by DRM to the point where you almost need divine intervention to keep your privacy AND your game. The PC games market only punishes those who support it. A little screwy.

That rant comes from someone who is an avid PC gamer. I'm sitting here with a 30" LCD @ 2560x1600 resolution - no console can touch that. Good PC games aren't hard to find, but they are getting fewer as time goes on. Here's hoping it keeps on truckin'.

Back on topic. I have Fallout 3 for PC and I love it. I've beaten it already, yet I continue to explore the wasteland. Maybe its because I love the universe they created, maybe its because I want more of Microsoft's damn achievements. Maybe both. But for a game to keep me playing even after I've beaten it when I have a backlog of HUNDREDS of games is quite the feat.

Fallout 3 has something that few non-MMO games have these days - a world. History, exploration, and so many minute details that really help immerse the player. In recent years the only game I had played that was similar was Mass Effect, and it wasn't even close to what Fallout 3 offers. I never played Oblivion, but I'm sure you could add that to the list as well. Non-linear gameplay is something I wish we saw more of.

non-linear gameplay is hard to nail and difficult to cultivate at risk of making the game void of meaning or boring. Finding a drive, a formula if you will, is the key to any game, and linear games have a more controlled nature and subsequently are handled better by developers and content creators. That said, MMORPGs are the essence of non-linear gameplay and they seem to do just fine although the main drive is interaction with other players.

Yep, that about sums it up. Games for Windows at least sort of tries to make PC games a little better. Since it's got the same features as the 360 one, I have no prob getting it on a PC. It just sucks there isn't a whole lot coming out, and it also seems that the people who do play there PC's just play Wow and pirate shit half the time.

Starcraft 2! Duke Nukem forever! Where are you???

ALmost every PC gamer I know does it because they pirate their games. Or they just play WOW or Counter-strike.

Speaking of MMOs, I was interested in getting Warhammer online, but I'm not too fond of the idea of monthly fees. I might get Guild Wars 2 later on.

i stopped playing PC games when all the lan centers in my area went out of business. and i haven't played WoW in a long time just cause it's WoW and super addicting. if i felt like i was missing out on a lot of awesome PC gaming, i'd get a PC. same goes for PS3. i don't feel like i'm missing a whole lot by not owning a PS3.

I haven't gamed or missed gaming on my PS3 for quite a while now - it doesn't help that it's in the living room either, my mom always nags if I occupy the tele. That said, I do some "vampire" gaming (ie game when everyone is at sleep like 4-5 in the morning) but what I play is the Wii (lately, Sam and Max: Season One, I just love point and click adventure games =) )
