Yay, yet one more bad US art thread! I believe we get the picture. Wapanese Americans and Japanese hate US box art. OK.
That's the european art... for once, the us box art isn't the worst. It isn't good, but it doesn't suck that much. Although in this case, the Japanese art is also crappy. Nobody wins!
Gasp how can you say the jpn artwork is crappy (grabs pitchfork) Compare this.... To this piece of shit
Ditto to importaku -- i like the JPN artwork... although I don't like the game (other than the original version included). What's the US artwork look like?
What the heck are these boxes for?: I couldn't get much info on google. The one on the left looks more "Western" to me.
I could have sworn there was a different picture there a second ago. And it doesnt even say you edited your post!
Yeah, it seemed I gave false information by providing a box art for the Puzzle Bobble. The thought of editing my post didn't occur to me, so just I deleted it. Sorry about that.
I like people who take the extra fourth of a second to type out whole words--like "Japanese" just for instance--but you don't see me creating new topics all the time just to pound on the point. ...word is bondage...
Here is a website about American box art VS Japanese box art. http://hg101.classicgaming.gamespy.com/japanboxes/japanboxes.htm
you know one of the rare instancei can think us got better art would be the street fighter games or ikaruga, which its japanese gc box art just didnt sit well with me
However, the big ass quote at the top of the US Ikaruga front cover I could do without. Ugh, the Bubble Bobble art is making me nausiated... I can't understand why the art has to be changed between US and Japan. Unless,do they think it's more they think Americans or Japanese will prefer it? Or is it that the marketing dolts think they can do it better? Does anyone know?
What, you don't like IGN's Frothing Demandâ„¢? Vice City called. They want their levels back. I'm not ENTIRELY sure what you said, but... maybe?
