There's a Starbucks near here where all the rude boys in their pimp-ass cars hang around, spinning doughnuts in the car park whilst listening to 50 Cent. I stay away. What a bunch of retards.

  3. Yeh, know what you mean, a friend of mine reckoned that he spent summat like well over $1000 in year!!!!!!!!!

...Yeh, straight up over $1000 in only one year, all he did was buy coffee and donuts ffs!

I have pity for those ppl that drink at Starbucks. I went there once and I found a huge dead spider on the bottom of the cup. I'm never going there again.

Friends don't let friends drink Starbucks.

I'm a Tea guy. Think about paying 3 bucks to have someone put a bag of dry fruit into hot water for you.

I prefer tea (sweet tea is my only "southern" vice, that and the accent), although I'll occasionally grab one of the bottled Starbucks drinks from a gas station. I don't care for their actual shops, though.

I don't think I've ever been into a starbucks, and I doubt I ever will given a choice. The idea of fast food-style coffee sounds like a surefire way to drink overpriced cleaning products.

I happen to like Starbucks. Their coffee is strong and bitter, which is a welcome change of pace from the mild blend they serve here at work and at other coffee/doughnut shops.
If you buy just the house blend coffee, it only costs like $1.80, so it's all in what you buy.

You know, Starbucks is relatively new in Mexico. It's been around a couple years. An ex of mine liked it a lot, and another, who was a lot into anti-globalisation and organic goods really hated their guts.

I had never actually set foot in one of their locations until this year - but a friend of mine treated me to one of their lemon pastries (no idea of its name in English) and one of the best Chai Latte I've ever had.

Sure, as a left-wing anti-globalisation marxist, which I really am, I should be considered a traitor and shot, gutted, and then my dead body should be dragged and hung, so that all my fellow anarchists can throw rocks and spit at it.... but I liked Starbucks, even when I thought I'd hate it with passion.

Actually, yesterday afternoon, another friend took me to a Starbucks that's exactly on my route to work, and I found a good friend of mine that I hadn't seen in a while working there. You know how hard it is to find a job in Mexico, right now?

Sure, at some hours it's full with the moronic bourgueouisie, and it might be noisy sometimes, but, at least those two afternoons, I had great tea, a great dessert, and a really nice talk that led to many happy things.

In terms of anti-imperialism and everything, I do see something wrong with it... but really, there's no similar alternative in Mexico, and it's not THAT expensive (though it is not cheap) down here.

I guess I even surprised myself not hating their guts... but I really have had good times there. Tyler Durden would be disappointed of a space monkey like me.

Starbucks did a little research, and decided that Dutch people are too big a cheap asses, so they aren't going to open any stores in Holland. Hooray for our cheap-ass-ness! I only visited Starbucks in Kuala Lumpur and Hong Kong, but truth to be told I wasn't that impressed..

Then again, I bought an orange juice and a muffin(the muffin was nice though), so I guess I am partly at fault.

People: I can make a better normal coffe out of Blå Cirkel Kaffe to you guys, or for that matter Gevalia Kaffe for that matter, or any other "Danish" powder coffe brands. So if you like a normal cup of coffe, then I can make in a split second , while the coffe cooker is boiling it.

Hmmm if that is what you mean, then I think you have a lot of things against people. Or could you please explain it in another way ? :)
