Hex; it saddened me to read this. I'm sincerely sorry for your losses. Its a difficult thing ... to watch our loved ones suffer. I'm going through this with my Mom, she's in the latter stages of Dementia and Dr. has given her about a year of life left. Trying to make the most of it for her. It changes your priorities for sure.

Cancer - seems to touch us all in some form or another, be it family or friends. My Dad and Sister are cancer survivors, but my uncle - dad's brother had the same cancer and he succumbed to it two years ago and his daughter is currently fighting cancer as well. It's the most heinous of deceases.

Don't feel bad about taking care of yourself - its important that you do so especially after giving as much as you have in the past two years. If you have hit a low spot, please reach out to someone. Keep your chin up buddy - in time .. and it will take time, you will come out stronger.

That's the hardest part is just watching the deline, my father was aware of it I'd hear him talking to himself and knowing he was getting worse. He was the one to give orders so he wouldn't listen to anyone else, I only wish he'd listen more as I could've done some last activites with him.

Spend as much time with your mother as possible, she'd likely appear distant as dementia is hard to deal with on it's own.

Thank you - I'll do my best, so far I'm mainly trying to be the strong one for the family...

Glad to hear it, times like this support is important :)

I'm sorry for your loss Hex, it is rough to lose someone, and have seen many get taken by cancer all around me. Especially when it was someone you looked too for knowledge and encouragement. HEX if you ever have questions on what to do with your Sup dog, shoot, I've built 2jz's more than once, and have tons of experience on tuning 'em etc now they weren't always in jza chassis either (s2k swapped before) but anyway we're here for ya!!!

Thanks, I always tried my best.

It's a bit difficult because it was something I always had while growing up.

Ah nice, I won't be doing anything to the engine for a few years. I'm restricted due to my license. I bought another top half of the rear seat since mine was completely ripped up.

Life has many crossroads to choose a path, some are good and some bad. Some of those crossroads are caused by those close to you dying or even closer to home than that.

In March 2014 I was persuaded/forced to see my doctor after nearly fainting when attempted to move a 16k vacuum cleaner into the back of my car; when I saw the doctor he dispatched me to the Acute Medical Unit at the hospital; turned out I had 2-3 weeks left to live as my iron levels were really low, nearly at the point of a heart attack and dropping dead due to lack of oxygen going around my heart as a result of iron levels so low my red blood cells were extremely tiny. Needed 3 bags of blood; and months of iron tablets. I was only 47 at the time; too young to die.

That changed my priorities, attitude and outlook and also made me realise how fragile life is. Also how unimportant internet fame is, "likes" are, and other meaningless suchlike. I've also taken large changes in my diet since then, as a result losing about 3 stone since June last year, to "give myself a better health outlook" in the future. I am also looking at retirement from work in a couple of years time too, early retirement.

You've had a rough ride Hex, which also will have made you assess life and those around you, another crossroads in life - how you deal with it and the path you take will determine the health and happiness of you and those around you. People don't die, they live on in your thoughts and aspirations; sure, when you die they do too by the same token but there is comfort in their legacy from the memories you retain. Picking up the pieces and gluing them back together takes time but is important, it is part of the constructive grieving process to move forward. Good luck.

Holyshit mate, that would've been very scary. Hoping everything is a lot smoother for you now.

Thanks for the support and kind words. :)
