Why would I wan't an S-Video mod for genesis

There are many video mods for the genesis mine being the component cable mod but there's an s-video mod so why would i want one of those?

 

im pretty sure if you got a component mod done you wouldnt even need to consider a s-video mod ?

 

S-Video is a simpler mod and the quality is far superior to the standard Composite but Component is as close to RGB as you can get without using RGB so as stated above there is no need to do an S-Video mod if you have Component.

 

how do you get component out of a genesis?

 

You'd have to use an external converter or use something like a Neobitz board that would internally convert RGB to component video.

 

I have a board that converts RGB to Component and also have a cable in the works pretty similar to the HD Retrovision cables.
