AH (Slapping myself in dumbfoundness) :drinkers: The Dreamcast went bankrupt. Now remember... I feel stupid :-D
Dreamcast is a console made by the company called Sega...It can't go bankrupt...it's just a product. Sega was in trouble...they pulled out of the hardware business (phased out the Dreamcast line) and were purchased by Sammy. They never went bankrupt...though Sega as we knew it no longer exists... Anyhoo.... Why! Why! Why! Did anyone actually buy Treamcast other than a few insane American collectors?
Ill wait till the next gen of handhelds (Probably around 2009-2012 release) come out and have Chancast, or whatever is the best DC emu at that point, ported to them if I want Dreamcast games on the go. How many DC games support wide screen anyways? Alien Front Online is the only one that comes to mind.
Ah...I had no idea about that one. Wouldn't the NFL 2K games have widescreen support? I'm not sure, so some verification would be nice to have.
sorry for asking stupid, is the Treamcast, not a dreamcast modded on to a screen ? Since i really like the dreamcast. Or is it a genuine pirate version of a dreamcast ? Please explain it to me.
Wow, isstill in production? didnt they stop since SEGA filled a lawsuit against them? Is an unautorised mod: they take the DCs internals into a smaller case with a LCD
Wait, this is for real? Wouldn't that widescreen thing be too much of a hassle, ruin the portability, be an issue for likely breakage, distort the image, and be even more expensive? I thought the pic was some sort of joke...
I'm SO morbidly curious about how bad the forced wide-screen ratio looks on this baby. I hope someone reviews it soon. Is there any website with the features of this new version?
Maybe it just plays games at 50Hz to get the (kinda) right aspect ratio That'll only work with games that have really crappily programmed 50Hz modes, but there are quite a lot of them...
No, he might or might not be serious. It's a possibility, for the weird screen ratio to somehow work.
i remember buying an isuue of the now defunct xbn and they had the original treamcast in it....it got alot of press in the states canada...everyone was freaking out on how you could buy a dreamcast with a screen and they freaked even more when they seen the saturn-ish controller
