Sorry but it is. The controls on ennichi are crap at best, couple that with boring minigames & its just a total train wreck of a game. The only saving grace was the balloon animal minigame that looks a bit like taiko where you gave to bend or twist the remote to make the balloon animals but after 2 or 3 goes it becomes boring too.
It really is a software issue when controls come across loose. With zelda's case they just slapped wii controls on there so it wasn't properly programed for it. All I had for a month was wii sports and it sorta got old after awhile, but when I got wario ware, I was having a blast. Some virtual consoles releases have been good, I'm a little dissapointed that nintendo couldn't emulate the controller pak. Mario Kart 64 lacks the ghost saving option due to controller pack not being emulated(though they tell you this before you download). Excite truck I might get when it becomes cheaper. Next games I'm looking forward to are wii sonic and mortal kombat. Anyone know if metal slug anthology is worth getting?
How can anyone like excite truck :/ I just found it monotone and boring. It needs more levels, and the gameplay is just not very much fun at all :/ The control is fun for a while to play around with but I mean... I just don't have much fun when playing it. Elebits looks a bit interesting though... gotta check that out
BLASPHEMY !! Excite Trucks is fantastic ! I love the jumps, power slides, vast courses and of course the ability to change the awful soundtrack to your own music. I really do enjoy that game. I geta real sense of jumping sky high in the truck thanks to the controls. Now, crap Wii controls in my eyes have to be Dragon Ball Z Sparking. WTF were Bandai thinking? The Wii control method is so confusing !! Play with the virtual Console controller if you get that game. I do, it's much better  Yakumo
Importaku got it spot on, the controls are terriable and have caused me to give up on the later levels (added with finally getting a copy of Resident Evil 4  ) The mini games are also a let down in my opinion - this was a big draw for me in getting this game but most feel rushed and really unimaginative. I wish I had tried Rayman before I got Monkeyball as from what I have heard the mini games are much better. I agree with Excite Trucks needing more levels but the gameplay is great, for a start the way you use the Wiimote to control the stearing and jumping feels so right. Adding the sheer speed of the game with the huge courses imho creates a very enjoyable driving game. Add a friend to the mix and your sorted! I suppose it depends what your after though, I'm not a fan of the GT, Toca, Forza etc... "Driving simulator" games driving around and around one course trying to get a few 10's off your time. The likes of Mario Kart and Burnout appeal to me, and Excite Trucks is very similar to Burnout - Great speed, crashes and general great arcade fun!!
Oooh I have a dossapointment, the P.O.S loses sync with the Wiimotes on a regular basis, requiring an average of 3 reboots/re-syncs before it works again.
I have that router and changing it to channel 11 made everything run perfect. Makes my DS run better to.
Guys tell me if I'm crazy...But, my one problem is the rumble. I've only played throgh zelda. But, the rumble just isn't intense enough in the game. Is that game specific.... or does the system just have weak rumble.
the Wii has a small rumble motor indeed, with not much variety in the spectrum of rumbling. But that's to be expected , considering its weight, energy efficiency and shape.
