A button attacks but the Wii remote is used to point the katana up or down. If you daze an enemy you can press the B button to preform a special attack that's done by moving the numbchuck and remote in the directions pointed out on the screen. THere are also combo type attacks as well. Yakumo
Because your avarage Japanese Wii gamer likes shit such as Wii fit rather than real games. Not to mention shops are still pushing Mario Galaxy so it looks like t hat was over stocked quite a bit  In every shop I've been to, No More Heroes was just stuck in with all t he other games while Mario and Wii Fit took the top shelf. Yakumo
http://kotaku.com/gaming/suda51/mini+skirt-or-not-no-more-customers-331771.php It's got to really suck for them. I bet if they did something like this in the U.S. a lot of people would show up.
This is just sad. A relatively unique game shows up and everyone shows no interest? I mean the Wii might be for casual gamers, but where are the balls?!
That is very sad indeed. What's wrong with these Wii owners? Still, news is better down where I live. no more heroes even though it wasn't promoted well is fully sold out down here. At least there are some Wii owners witha brain where I live or maybe it's because you got a free metal laser katana key chain? Yakumo
That sounds.........like the lightsaber duels in Star Wars Trilogy, circa 1998:nod: Dunno you guys, but when I first saw that wiimote demo I thought it was going to be all sword games & that. This whole "swing in this or that direction on the screen" thing sounds more like a rhythm game... After all that I wonder if any of those posers at most forums will dare to say that "japanese gamers have more taste than western ones" Seriously, the Wii Fit is selling more? I thought it was a joke when it was unveiled... They even got a cosplay girl, damn!
WHERE ARE ALL THE OTAKU FANBOYS WHO SHOULD BE EATING THIS GAME UP? They're probably stuck inside watching Lucky Star or something. Nevermind.
Because the gamers go and buy a real console like the Playstation 2 or Playstation 3. (Oh and I am not trolling, if you look at the game types certain serious games sell much better on the PS3 then they have on the Wii).
So now the Wii isnt a real console? Dude at least I said it was a repackaged GC, but saying it isnt a console at all? thats going too far...
The Simpsons game, at least for 360, was actually pretty enjoyable. I think Wii owners might be retarded. Everytime a good game comes out, they just seem to run from it. Everyone I know with a Wii either plays crap or nothing.
Are you sure? I don't think I believe you. Especially as this game just shipped a million in the US. It's more of a case that there is a bit of a whitewash in Japanese gaming. It's like Killer 7 all over again. In any case, this isn't console-specific news, nor even something new - there were plenty of cracking games that were released for PS2 but were largely ignored by the general public for things like 'Little Britain - The Video Game'.
Good call there... All my friends/aquaintances with a Wii only seem to play sports games (bleh - I can't get into those) or games that have you mindlessly shaking the wiimote (Rayman 2 seemed this way to me)....or the not_so_great Wii version of games that are actually decent on Xbox360 (CoD3, Blazing Angels, etc).
Okami was a nice game on the PS2 yet sold poorly. It's not a console-specific issue - although everyone knows that a "classic" nintendo gamer will buy a Nintendo title more willingly than other 3rd party efforts. As for new-comers, they don't give a shit, as long as the game looks simple and easy to get into, like Wii sports and Wii fit.
Yeah, but the people I know with them aren't total casual game folk. There not dudes as into games as me, but it's people who do play games. I guess they have no taste.
I don't know if its a matter of taste, inexperience, or ignorance...but it pisses me off...my girl says I get too enraged over these things, and granted I do, but it seriously aggravates me. Everytime something decent comes out, no one had heard of it, gives a shit, or wants to give it a second thought... so much for our weekly "geek out night" since its spent playing shitty games. My most anticipated Wii release is Shikigami No Shiro III and none of my friends have heard of it or are interested in shmups...*sigh* :banghead:
You'd think that Mario or Metroid at least get bought, but no. My friend got some Naruto game and Umbrella Chronicles, brand new, and isn't even thinking of the othe two, even though he sports the Zelda and Nintendo shirts, etc. UC might be cool but for 50$? I dunno. And I try to buy a Wii and can't.
When the first trailer came out, I was like, 'shenmue + jet set radio? = no more heros? But it seems like its not impressive.. I can't understand why they taken the gore out.. Why don't Nintendo make baby games?
Join the club, we have tshirts... Now you know where all those dumb fanboy rants come from. Seriously, I dont even own a SEGA tshirt (or of any other company to that matter) yet I must know more about nintendo games than that guy:nod:
