What area do you live in? The price of the 360 hasnt changed here; the core is 299 euros (289 if you look hard enough) and the premium is 399 (389 if you look hard enough).
Contrary to what people believe, while it's based on the GameCube design, it is a significant upgrade over the GC. While it doesn't have 3 Cpu cores, or a Cell processor, you probably don't need that. It doesn't have some 500mhz gpu chip either, but again, do you really need that? The Wii will be capable of nice visuals. To be honest the 360 visuals were impressive at first, but I've played Perfect Dark Zero alot, as well as other games, and really the graphics are nice, but not that impressive. The fact is graphics are only impressive for alittle while these days. The Wii adds some features and horse power over the GC, it's more about the gameplay quality than visual. I think games look nice enough. Plus I don't want to pay for cutting edge graphics.
Whether the games will be nice or not remains to be seen. I still think Nintendo's games are all minigame-fests nowadays and hardly interesting. I'm waiting this one out; i want something more than a minigame-fest or a gimmick-controller. Im sure some nice games will come, however from what i see now i'd rather wait it out.
Personal preference. You dont have to agree; it just all looks a bit too gimmicky and minigame-infested for me. If you tihnk otherwise thats fine with me Also i havent liked zelda ever since it went 3D. Red Steel looks like it could be ok, im just still sceptical about how the controller works. I cant see myself waving that thing for an hour or more and i sure as hell dont think the steering wheel would be handy if its not attached to a shaft or anything.
