Wii u Box Art

I am sure most of you have seen the pics of the new Wii u box art that has just recently been confirmed by Nintendo to be legit. But, what do you think of the design, I think it looks OK nothing to special, but definitely better than the boring wii style.

Not bad. Kinda reminiscent of the GC stuff, for no apparent reason. What I am interested in are the spines.

 

Gamecube games had curved logos at the top just like that. It looks okay I guess, not sure how I feel about the yellow around the edges.

 

I like the idea of a border being there, but, I don't like the yellow, either. Why not silver?

 

Wii box art is way better IMO.
Don't like the oval. And why the yellow? They don't even have this color in the wiiu palette (?).

And the blue will not fit with the cover of a lot of games. It should've been the reverse of this : the Wii u logo in grey and blue, and the space in white.

 

Kind of has a Fisher-Price look to it.

Don't really like them really, and the yellow just doesn't work with the blue...

 

Yeah, definitely. However, I do like that the case matches the trim, otherwise.

That I do like, it's just that yellow... Like where did the yellow even come from? At least use a white line or any other colour but yellow.

 

What color would make you happy? Orange? Brown? People need to stop knocking Nintendo for a damn color and enjoy the games.

 

Yeah, already pre-ordered at amazon here, any1 got info on the jpn artwork/layout maybe?

Agreed. While it has lots of space for artwork, they could have done it better.
