I was thinking the same thing. Plus nintendo will sell more since they have alot more stock then sony will have on launch.

Initially atleast. Wii is in much greater stock and much more affordable. Nintendo just needs the trend to continue onward to keep a huge gap between it and the PS3.

I don't really care about the PS3. I already decided my system of choice, the 360, and I want the Wii too. I'll pickup a PS3 when I can get one for cheap. I'm not looking to pay over 250$ for another console anytime soon. Buying the 360 was enough of a punch.

famitsu projected sales figures place the Ps3 the overall winner by 2010. Thanks to US and EU markets , damn.

    Barc0de, try yesasia.com or liksang.com
iirc they also sell the US consoles

btw, why are you guys (you and SilverBolt) wanting a US machine? just because it's here earlier?

    1) 60hz signal and 480p. I connect everything to a VGA monitor, progressive if possible, and if not through a VGA box.

2)All my gamecube games are NTSC/US

3)Games come out first in the US usually

4)It is comming out first anyway in the US

5)Self-restraint in buying games. This way I ensure i don't go out on a shopping spree and buy anything that is found in the shops.

    Same reasons go for me.

    1) I want to be able to have the games earlier and not having to wait until games get needlessly translated into italian/french/german and wait 3-6 months again like with most cube games.

    2) usa imports are usually at least 20% cheaper then the european prices

    3) most of my cube games are imports as well as are most of my DS games if region is an issue with ds --> Wii communication

    argh.

I have a PAL 360, and yesterday, Stubbs The Zombie (PAL) for XBOX 1 arrived at my door. Due to it running only in 50Hz mode, the damn thing won't work with my VGA HD Cable. It's this kind of shit that pisses me off with the PAL format.

Haha. I'm always glad to hear someone that has to live with the PAL format hates it like I do. PAL (50hz) is the most retarded thing ever in my opinion. Esspecially when software and movie makers tend to be in areas working with 60hz signals. Atleast more so in the past than now. I can't see how you guys could put up with all the classic games (NES, SNES, Genesis, PSX, Saturn) that run at 50hz. Atleast not if you've played them at their correct speed. Cause as we all know only one in a million games was actually changed for its PAL release not to run slower.

The movie makers may live in the states with 60Hz, but they film at 24fps, which means we just have it sped up around 5%, rather than any crazy pulldown conversions being needed.

I'm aware movie films aren't filmed at 60fps. My point was hollywood releases their movies in their homeland that is NTSC. I think things would be different if hollywood and other big TV entertainment was in a PAL area. That's all.
