Well you don't need to add a creditcard, you can also buy point cards.

I'm very excited about Star Soldier R too and for Final Fantasy, I don't like the idea of buying a small non-complete game. Ironically, I'm hoping to see the F-Zero X expansion that was previously only available on the 64DD.

Ah, the remake of Alien Crush. I really would have preferred a Devil's Crush sequel/remake. It's my favorite console pinball game, and I loved the soundtrack.

As for WiiWare, the only thing I look forward to is Dr. Mario against random people online.

Old games go in the VC section. Modified concepts of old games I think go into WiiWare as well.

Many times actually. Their customer service is next to none.

It is Square that is charging you by the way for the items, not nintendo. That was a weak attempt to attack nintendo on your side, next time give it more thought :p

    Fancy giving some example(s)?

And every game company would think about money first, thats why theres so many "companies" in this industry, instead of charities:rolleyes:

The silicone jackets for the wii remotes were totally free if you wanted them they werent obliged to hand them out for free but they did.

I have gotten free ds games from nintendo too, tingles balloon fight was a xmas gift from them on club nintendo, also had cd's, calendars & other nice stuff too.

Yeah I bet they didn't tought at all about the recent sue-prone accidents involving slippery wiimotes...

And customer clubs are nothing new, they've been around since what, the 50s?

You asked if nintendo ever gave anything away free & i answered your question.

Pointless trying to pick at it, they still gave stuff away free regardless.

Your lack of context and complete subjectivity of the whole point dwarf any criticism...

The fact is that even if I can get Iwata to explain to you why 50cents of silicone are cheaper than a PR blow, as far as you're concerned they're still giving stuff for free.

My point was that Nintendo is just doing what others are doing, and becos nobody has complained about it.

For example, EA is going to start charging for weapons and such in games, and I hardly hear a rant about it. On the other hand you have thousands of GTA fanboys waiting for GTAIV's downloable content on Live, even when in the past said content would've come with the game, and not something they'll be paying an extra for.

You obviously have your own little agenda going on with nintendo, that's fine i'll leave you to it.

It pops up in every thread about nintendo.

Yeah yeah, I'm part of an intricate network that tries to discredit nintendo at oldschool forums:rolleyes:

Seriously pal, if Nintendo refuses to provide this kind of content they're going to get the same ol' bad publicity they got about online play, all over again...

For Christ's sake. Every bloody Nintendo related thread you go on and on and on.

Seriously, I cant say shit about Nintendo anymore becos after the wii MSRP thread everything I say is hate-speech?

All I'm saying here is that would be a bad move if Nintendo doesnt releases this kind of content, becos theres a lot of money in this thing, way more than in online play.

That and not releasing it when soon everybody is going to have it would be the same kind of blow to them that lack of online play was some years ago.

Is like when CD was the future: Sega released it before and Nintendo didnt release any at all. First it was a PR blow, then it wasnt a big deal becos the SegaCD couldnt live up to the hype, but when the PSX came over and the N64 still used carts it backfired, badly.

The "sue and get rich" scheme is becoming a trend all over the world, but on the other hand I've heard it has really helped to raise the standards in countries where consumer rights were almost non-existant.

No... it's because every time someone mentions Nintendo (which has the potential average of 1 in every 3 current-gen conversations), you produce yet another rant about how crap Nintendo are, followed by an open unfounded statement. Then, when somebody produces evidence on the contrary, you proclaim that it's nonsense, followed by the lapse of the thread into rants, followed by you saying you're being witch hunted, followed by a big hissy fit.

For the love of this forum - all of us realise that you a not a fan of the Wii, you think that Nintendo are money grabbing and that you'd be happier if they pissed off back to third place. Can you at least, for once, give it a break for a while? It's starting to get irritating, in a similar vein to fanboys preaching on how their console is the best every single time someone mentions them.

And 'becos' is spelt 'because'. :p

So anyway, could we get back on the thread topic, please?

Seeing as were 37 posts in & not one person has actually posted about any.

Downloaded 3 of the titles last night.

Pokemon farm, star soldier R & kotoba puzzle mojipittan.

Pokemon farm is a bit of a novelty but its fun putting your pokes into the wii & interacting with them plus i can annoy people with my pics LOL
    [IMG]

Star soldier R is a solid shooter & plays very well, not got much of a score so far but im working on it, the graphics are particulary nice.

Final game was Bandai/Namco's wonderful Kotaba puzzle mojipittan. Hard for me to play fully as my japanese vocab is pretty limited so i can only do half the puzzles as the others require complex word manipulation. The soundtrack is awesome though. Keeps a record of the words you have learnt so at least i can try to expand my vocab.
