Lol. I was just thinking, why would anyone in this day and age still want to use a WiiKey, and then I realised Nintendo actually have a new console on the market.

I mostly attribute that to Nintendo having Not giving a fuck syndrome but now that they have a slightly more powerful canvas to paint on. I think Good days are ahead. and DAMMIT NINTENDO, Give us a new FZERO!

It's up on torrent trackers now. Wonder what the AES key is for?

23gb is a huge game. PS3 and Xbox 360 games run 5-10gb average with some games like Uncharted, Max Payne 3 and LA Noir at around 18gb and 21gb. But this Avengers game is probably just some licensed game that would usually run 5 gb on a 360 or ps3. Not related to piracy but an interesting look at how big the games are on Wii U.

Don't forget, there is likely an update partition like 3DS games. Then the rest padding of some sort.

    Edit: Some Wii-U update messages.

    Retreiving data for the update..

Do not turn off the power.

Depending on the update meathod, do not disconnect the console from the Internet or remove the disk.

Do not turn off the power or remove the disk.

Edit 2: It is real. http://pastie.org/pastes/7760175/text

Edit 3: Looks like this is just the update partition.

Also Wii ISOs always showed 4.37GB if not scrubbed. This is an early WiiU dump so, it could be that also.
Anyone downloaded this and poke around the ISO?

Wow, ECHELON is still around, may not be active but they are around

I don't think there's too much members from the DC era still in there...

Would take too long for Mii, though the data I'm most interested in from there is the system update files... Yes, more interested in the update files then game files.

Keep in mind the WiiU uses a Blu-ray SIMILAR disc type, and BR is about 25GB single-layer, so the 23GB of the WiiU game above doesn't seem too far off if it's an "unscrubbed" release.

It certainly is an interesting idea that as consoles become more and more like PC's, there will be less and less interest in writing homebrew for them.

I always thought Nintendo did a good job of differentiating its hardware enough to separate from the crowd with interesting hardware and peripherals (except maybe the GameCube)*, so I thought that they would be immune to this, but I'm not in touch with the homebrew scene, so maybe I'm wrong. In fact, the homebrew projects I'm most interested in are the ones that open up these controllers, etc, for use on the PC, and not any software for the consoles. After all, like the article says, it's too cheap and easy to tinker with something like RaspberryPi (or Arduino). Why bother with writing code for a console that's pretty close to a PC?

On the flip side, hackers gonna hack. It's just what they do.

*I don't mean to insult the GameCube, it's just that it wasn't as distinctive from xbox/ps2/dc as their other consoles were compared to the competition.
