    You're looking for the Japanese boot ROM? You do know that it will only boot Japanese discs, right?

    What part of it? If it doesn't boot into the XMB menu anymore there isn't anything you can do to save the thing. When the XMB goes out it means the HDD is toast, which you can not recover. I don't even think a PSX firmware update disc can save it if the HDD is gone. As for corrupting the BIOS... I honestly don't think you can do so unless you've made strides in modifying the PSX that no one else knows about.

    I know about that.. I wrote over the stock bios but my backup wasn't clean it looks

    Oh I see. Well, I don't know what to tell you. I guess you would be purchasing a file, if my thinking is correct. I've only got a 7100 around right now.. Wish I could help you out

    yeah basically I need a dump of the flash or a pre-programmed ic, my programmer does not support it
