    What makes you think that?

Not that i pay much attention to football but its not like they get much press to reflect that opinion. (that ive seen)

Ok some of the players are huge names in football and would class them selfs as an important part of the team for Brazil to win but i dont think its much more then what Becks or Rooney would.

    Yeah! Exactly what Alchy said

Paulo, I'm not saying Brazil should lose just for being Brazil.
Hell, when there's been a World Cup in Mexico, my city is always the "Home Turf" for the Brazilian team, and one of my best friends is Brazilian as well. I like them. But I want to see someone outclass them. That would mean I'll see great soccer.

What I really can't get behind is the fact that people get scared of the fact that they're playing Brazil. You know, just being Brazil shouldn't make you win the game. If they play their ass off, then they deserve to win, but I expect to at least see some competition. It _is_ the World Cup. Lots of drama, surprises, and everything. I wouldn't mind a new champion, at all.

Plus there's that rule, that in cups played in Europe, there'll always be a champion from that continent.

So... When does the cup start? I'm a bit anxious.

Hmm well I think football is boring, and well I am REALLy not fond of Ronaldo, since his bodyguards beat up a Dane , and well the Dane didn´t look good afterwards.

And from Italy Totti is in my book known as Snotti, because of his spitting adventure in Denmark.

"By the way Totti , where is Denmark ?

    Totti: a spit from Sweden ! "

give me some UFC yeah :)

And I agree with FunkStarDeluxe, about the brazilian football team.

I'm interested in seeing how the Czech republic go. Really played well in their 1st game vs USA.

I don't have premium cable, just basic, so the only channel that is playing some the games are Univision (galavision). Which is in Spanish and can't understand most of what they're saying but still fun to watch.

Well Denmark dint make it anyways...

So you dont like Ronaldo because of someone who worked for him got into a fight and came better off.... right.

Yeah i only watch the world cup but if you get into it then its really fun watching. You might be able to watch the matches live on the BBC website if you are really bothered...

Brazil playing tonight!!!! Cant wait!!

Nah, BBC website streams only work from a UK IP. You might manage it if you can find a proxy in the UK.

Paulo don´t be a prick, and well I don´t care about who made football, and the thing is, I hate violence, and why I knew was because the Dane was a male Model, and his mother was a politican at the time, and she is a former Stjernetegns film series actor, and her name is Susanne Bjerrehus , and the son is Oliver Bjerrehus. And his face looked like a very big mess.

So I don´t care about who made up football. And heck don´t be a prick Paulo.

And yes I know I have double standards, when it comes violence, but when it is sport, then I prefer martial arts violence. Than violence in a socalled sport.

Paulo wasn't being a prick, you were being illogical again. A bodyguard's job is to protect their client, and it's hardly the fault of the client (in this case, Ronaldo) if the bodyguard is out of line. Blame the bodyguard, if you're going to blame anyone.

Why is it everything with you always ends up being about (1) Denmark, and (2) some kind of oppression?

Alchy forget about Denmark , ok ? because I say a Dane it doesn´t mean every time about Denmark. But I just love my country, and when I really dislike football, and well I really do think that the Brazilian football team are a bunch of arrogant, self important dickheads, ok ?

And well Paulo, and I have an issue with eachother, ok ? or at least I am not fond of Pualo to put in correct terms, ok ?

Can´t I not say a person I know a person is living in Mexico , and I really think is a great person, then it is about Mexico ?

from now on, I am not going to mention nationalities, I am just going to say viking.

This has nothing to do with race (although well done for bringing the issue up once again). I was just pointing out that you hating someone for an isolated incident involving one of their staff is strange. Which is what Paulo did in his post - to which you called him a prick. If you're not fond of Paulo, at least have the decency not to call him names.

    Brazil 1 x 0 Croatia, a awful game IMHO but it's a win anyway.

I was hoping for a draw to give Japan a chance of going through, not a hope of that happening now.

Nah, if japan can't beat the aussie's then they stand no chance against brazil or croatia.

Yep, terrible game. I was hoping that Croatia would score one goal, so the Brazilian team could wake up and start playing for real. Apart from Kaká, Roberto Carlos, Ronaldinho Gaúcho and the little time Robinho played, the rest of the team was sleeping...
