Exactly. The only guarantee I would give when selling a Xenon is that it WILL rrod eventually :thumbsup:

 

99% of xenons will rrod at some point, and 80% zephyrs its just a proven fact, but prototypes are usualy made to a higher standard than the finals :/ im kinda glad i didnt buy 1 of theses kits in the end they look my trouble than there worth

 

Yea, I know most xenons RROD eventually, but this kit had problems from the start. I was able to get it mostly functioning, but after two months it totally shit out. Oh well, guess thats my fault for buying a xenon :/

 

lol why do people think or treat it as like "oh they just included a bad wire" or something, like only some people get it? Lol no all normal xboxs will rrod sooner of later, because of excessive heat, crappy cooling, leadfree solder, and/or flexing. Nothing lasts forver people, nothing...

 

Somebody really needs to get a guide setup for how to properly anti-RROD a kit. Really not that difficult to be honest. Few fans and replace the heat sinks with PC style ones should do the trick.

 

Well the best thing is water cooling but besides that the second best is to put fans directly on the gpu and cpu and then also put another fan through the case; because by far the biggest problem is heat.

 

I'd like to get a cheapo (but working) Xenon kit and directly transplant PC CPU coolers onto them. Arctic Silver paste with coolers like that (fan on top blowing heat out) and then a fan supplying cool air and one taking hot air out. The only difficult thing would be finding a way to mount the coolers. I once saw Kevin Rose build a mac by hand and he literally zip tied a PC CPU cooler on because he couldnt find a mac cooler.

 

Knowing a Xenon, Your Southbridge would crash then

my xenon is still alive R-mfd 3/25/09

fans speed 100%, case mod to fit the x-clamp screws and AS-5.

runs 60-70c Max temp, and gpu is cooler than the cpu.

 

After putting so much dedication to your CPU and GPU, Knowing the luck of a xenon, your southbridge/RAM would crash after all the effort on the CPU and CPU.

 

lol if its an 09 its not a xenon ;-) chances are its a jasper or falcon. Xenons were only manufactured 05 and 06.

btw Shox2711 it doesnt work like that....

 

lawl thats why i put R-MFD aka Refurbish-MFD.

its a xenon but refurbish right before the new CB patch.
