If 8 of us agree (and looking at the list, we need just 1 more) would Buyatari consider selling 1 of them and not both? I work that out as £50/$100 per person which is still quite a lot of money....however... If we then agree to let one of the 8 people sell the original GDR on eBay (after we have a rip - but 'before' it's public - that person then divides the money equally between us - This does seem like a pretty simple/easy way to do it. We may actually make all of the money back....if we make a profit; well...why not give that to a central assembler fund. This also solves the problem of deciding who ends up with the original disc. btw/ i'm not suggesting this is a 'regular' thing - it just seems like it may help a small minority this time around. The ball is in your court.
I would sell just one of them. I have it listed as $1400 for one or both for $1800. I could use the cash but I wouldn't sell one for $800.00. I do think that if you put the disk on ebay $500 wouldn't be out of the question. Ask Fatalist how much the original is worth to him. 1400-500=900
Assembler has made it quite clear this is not a good idea. I can see where he is coming from and apologised for my actions. Unless the dude offers it up for free then I would suggest a mod closes this topic otherwise it may go on (and on..) Sorry man.
