For me it's Last Battle on Megadrive, paid £2.99 for a really nice condition copy, played it for 10 minutes and shut it off. Worst Megadrive game ever and probably worst 16-bit game.
thats why i love youtube i always look a game up before i buy it, unless im out and about and something is really cheap / looks cool. i generally trust my instincts in that case. last battle = either the developers were seriously lazy or they had no gameplay standards at all. ooorr they originally made an amazing shinobi style game but then someone walking in with a clipboard and stripped all the good and fun out of it before release.
Those damned Bible Adventure series pirate games. Stupidest bullshit ever... I have all 4 in ROM format on EDMD.
I watched the review but bought it anyway. Basically it was Fist of The North Star in Japan. When they brought it to Europe and the United States they took out the blood, did a bad translation on the text and created the worst Megadrive game ever. When you get hit you just slide, even in mid-air. As far as I'm aware you have one life and one life bar. There's this one bit where arrows fall from the roof, you've got like 2 floors worth of arrows and you can barely jump over them, I couldn't get over 1 without getting hit. It's as if they didn't care to look at what other games were on the market before releasing it. Yeh reviews are good, so are emulators. I cant believe pay like £12-£14 for Truxton, fuck that game.
I have every NES/SNES/Megadrive/Genesis ROM ever, so about 30,000 games, most will be pirates and language variations but at least now I will never get burnt on a game again, I can always see if a game is shit or not before making a purchase.
i think we need a bible themed shoot em up, Jesus vs the zombies or something 16bit style with loads of guns n gore, that'll show them bible games who's boss, Lock n Load Jesus! personally i like truxton for what it is but its generally overpriced but then again any decent shmup is these days.
lol sacrilegious to the core I dunno Truxton pissed me off, it's just too fucking hard for a few reasons. I like bio hazard battle and forgotten worlds a lot better, gynoug is pretty good too. now i just need sub-terrania, truxton... yeh i still want it in my collection for cheap. steel empire is a good one too.
I remember one fighter game called Rise of the robot that was really bad I just pass it over never want to know again of that game.
been tempted to get it cheap both in the wild and on ebay/amazon but heard it's fucking terrible. ill wait until i can get it for 50p
it is terrible, not as terrible as last battle in my opinion, but still terrible, worth 50p tho just for a laugh or a door stop eternal champions would be a better choice, there were some terrible licensed games too pit fighter was bad but but not the worst.
Rise of the Robots! I remember seeing that showcased on "Bad Influence!" and being touted as the next big thing in AI opponents. Man those were the days...
Rise of the Robots has got to be one of theworst fighters ever. It got a ridiculous amount of hype too, only to end up being complete shit.
A hack of Sonic 2 featuring onion rings in place of golden ones and you get fat off them. Can get fat enough that Sonic dies of heart attack. That or Sonic 1 Omachao edition... I win?
This x 10. Don't even try to play it to see how bad it is, or the terrible music and design will stick with you forever in a slightly traumatizing manner.
That doesn't sound that bad to me. A hack has some license to be "bad"; it is an entirely different thing for someone to pump thousands into devkits, employees, office space, advertising, etc only to produce something that plays like ET with better QA.
