PALs have multiout same as any other SNES, it's just a dust cover.
You might get lucky and there's nowt wrong with it, just that their telly doesn't like PAL.

Wouldn't count on that, since Greece is PAL territory. Still, might be a bad cable or sth. Or maybe he just doesn't know how to change the aspect ratio on his new 16:10 4K TV.

Ack on the dust cover; that's been added after the fact though, they didn't come in the box (at least afaik).

Ah my mistake, assumed it was a US auction. You are right in that it could be a dodgy composite cable, part of me thinks that although the GC/N64 cables work they need modding for a SNES.

edit: All the ones I've seen in the UK came with the dust cover.

Pretty sure this SNES is broken beyond repair as the describtions hints at a faulty PPU.

Either that or the caps leaked and damaged the tracks going to the video memory.

Both SNES that I bought new in the UK back in the day had dust covers on the multi-out, so I would expect that to be common across the PAL territories.

So I messages the beater and he said that he actually messed up a super famicom mod on the ICs. Ill see if he will take pictures of the damage but it seems like it might be beyond repair.

Composite cables work fine from GC / N64, I bought one for my SNES back when it was my first console, then used it on my N64 and Gamecbe as they were released.
If you want RGB Scart however, you have to modify the cable (remove or replace caps from what I remember).

The dust cover was on some, but not all PAL SNES, my UK PAL Mario All Stars pack was my first ever console and didn't come with one, however I have another couple now that do have the cover.
