    When I first played SA, I even shrugged off the horrible voice acting because it was a sonic game and who gives a damn about that in a sonic game...too bad I couldnt shrug off all the other bad things.

    The whole point of sonic was that it offered innovation. Remember when you played sonic two and got to the "3d" tube part? I almost lost my mind.

    Let's face it, the day of the 2d platform game, even with pseudo 3d is over.
    Sure, you can move around, but it's the same shit; jump and get rings.
    About as innovative as the wargods "3d" button.
    You're not going to sell eleven million copies of a new sonic game.

    Now if they can take the sonic license, and change it a bit , who knows.

    Even nintendo has issues with Paper Mario : the thousand year door. It's barely noticed unfortunately.

    From the start mario was a wider concept. He jumped, swam, thew things, shot fire balls, flew. Sonic just ran fast, jumped and used his super speed to spin stuff.

    If they could deliver a top notch sonic game to PSP, it would be a very good start.

    After seeing the trailer this game definitely has potential ... make it darker, give it depth, and decent storyline....

    Stupidity to be releasing it on current-gen, so late too - Holiday 2005 ??? Too many great games have been passed by because they were late releases - the 16-bit era DEFINITELY has more than a few examples with the Genesis and SNES - and this could be what happens here too.

    Bloody hell SEGA, make this a next-gen launch title.

    I've quit 3D platformers for life now. I've hated every single one I've played, and I suck eggs at them. I tried playing SA once and I kept falling off stuff and dying every 5 seconds.

    I still think Sonic 1-3 on the MD are some of the best games ever, especially 2, and I still play them today. They're never going make Sonic games that good ever again.

    Maybe it's an Xbox 2 / NEXT / 360 / whatever launch title in addition to the PS2 or and/or cube.

    Sonic will bust a cap in your ass while mario steals a car in MkA (mushroom Kingdom auto). FAmily developers like nintendo need to update style and direction and not take old stap games and re-release them as new. Developers are lazy they don't make great games because they want to they make games to put something to market.

    The new shadow game looks like crash bandicoot don't it?? except for the jumping/flying and zooming features.. Would'nt buy it anyway because i more like adventure games with dept..

    But it's kinda nice I think

    I don't know, I really wasn't that impressed by the video.

    Looks like your generic sonic game, except you have a gun. While that can add some cool gameplay to the game, looks more like they threw it in there for the novelty factor.

    Don't judge a book by a cover or a game by its trailer, especially the unreleased, *unfinished*, uncovered, un-previewed variety. Neither are sound basis to judge actual content/experience on.
