Realtime, or at least a link or something to a high quality version of the video, and not the youtube garbage ;)

never heard of it before... What is it? A demo of FF8 and what it would look like on the PS2 hardware?

Just the dancing scene, people could control the camera as far as I know. Im not that hopeful of getting an interactive version, but if I could get a DVD quality version of it, thatd be nice.

Asking for "the video" is rather pointless, as there are many tiny videos of it and few longer (the longest I have is an almost minute long sequence of it, I think).

    [edit]
I wouldn't be too surprised if the actual tech demo software itself didn't run on a final PS2 system either :/

Though, I would still love to be proven wrong on my doubts and actually interact with it myself too.
    [/edit]

And as for the interactivity of the tech demo, some sources seems to suggest that it had two modes, one was the demo mode that would run the FFVIII dance sequence+camare and the other let users control the camera for it and press various buttons/combinations/whatever to make Squall and Rinoa change between various dancing styles/moves.
The way the various videos differ seems to indicate this is most likely true/correct.

The guy who runs WarMECH's Domain has the hi-res press shots for the video, he might have some other videos of it too. Atleast he used to have a bunch of Squaresoft press material, newsletters and other collectible media oddities (I know he sold quite a lot of his stuff a few years back).

So I am guessing this is pretty rare? Estimate of amount of copies maybe? :icon_bigg And where was it originally shown?

"Possibly" never printed/shouldn't exist, type of rare. I guess :p

And it was shown/presented/demoed at some PlayStation 2 preview/presentation in 1999

Uh Huh.... So this is a pretty super slim chance then! I am thinking of the same video correct? (the one with the dance scene and fireworks going off in midair?)
