Everytime I see your avatar it reminds me of Assembler's.

Anywho, didn't a US demo of it appear in a Official PSM issue?

  3. I think he should change his avatar. It does look like Assemblers.

I didn't say I had a problem with it... just simple confusion.

The US demo disc was Gran Turismo 3, not GT 2000. Getting ahold of either one is just about as difficult though as most of the originals ended up getting trashed by people. At one point the GT3 demo disc was trading at $100+. GT collectors are insane.

This demo was given at PlayStation Experience 2000 event in Japan, before the launch of the PS2.

I'm looking for it for ages. I remember some guy tried to sell it here with the other demos (Ridge Racer V, ... ) but after i mentioned interest, he dissapeared.

The only retail versions that are missing in my collection are:
    - Gran Turismo 2 : Gonna get NTSC|UC GH version (it has all bugs fixed)
    - Gran Turismo Concept: 2002 Tokyo - Seoul : Only released in Korea. Only saw it once on ebay for a very high price =/

Demo versions that i still plan to get:
    - Gran Turismo 4 Prologue - Prius Edition
    - Gran Turismo 4 Toyota - NY Auto Show
    - Gran Turismo 4 BMW - BMW Series 1
    - Gran Turismo 2000 (PlayStation Experience Demo)

Any E3 / Tokyo Game Show Betas...

PS: No, i'm not a Gran Turismo freak  :110:

I have these Demo-CDs. The complete set: 10 discs with cover and manuals.

Gran Turismo 2000 looks like the old GT2 with texture filter :)

I remember on one message board that someone bought a pirate copy of it in India i think it was (maybe not India, but something similar heh) and it was just a cool demo.

the gran turismo 2000 demo is playable, but it's time-limited (2 minutes). only 1 track is available and you can choose between 2 cars as far as I remember.

But I can check this, if someone want's to know it :)

It's just a Gran Turismo 4 demo, where you can choose between two Toyota cars (one is a prius) and do a couple of laps at Fuji Speedway if i'm not mistaken.

Gran Turismo 2000 in other hand is the closest thing we can get from early Gran Turismo developing in PS2.

It started as Gran Turismo 2000, then they called it Gran Turismo 2000: A-Spec and finally the released version was called Gran Turismo 3: A-Spec.

I posted some early pics of Gran Turismo in the PS2 hardware, including a link of IGN.com comparing beta pics with the final product.

EDITED: Heres the link to the topic: http://www.assemblergames.com/forums/showthread.php?t=1121&page=7&pp=20&highlight=Gran+Turismo+2000

I have a set of these somewhere. Problem is I'm sure by the time I find it you won't need it anymore. :(

Yeah, it's worth a bit. Also, I think it's an earlier build than GT4 Prologue.
