I would think there would certainly be a price different between those though. If they were shipped out with the original XDK shipments (which I would assume DVT-3?) they would have to be prototype controllers right? Meaning, they would either be Alamo or Dakota and have a different label on the back right? I've never seen one before but a clear green prototype Duke would have to be worth more than just the regular clear green I would think.

Sorry, was using XDK for "Xbox Debug Kit," not development kit.

They're identical except for the packaging. Outside of packaging you wouldn't be able to tell which came with a launch team kit and which came with a debug kit.

Where do the blue and smoky transparent models come from?

Alamos supposedly were in house only and never left Redmond and have a label indicating that they are Alamo.

I've also heard that they were for internal testing only. The label part you should know about, don't you own one? XD

Yep, only know of three owners right now. Should've been at least 130 made.

    You do not please me.

Well, I got #10 of however many. lol

Are you just looking for the chip themselves or chipped consoles? I have an X3CE chipped console with a 500gb hard drive that I would be looking to sell because as of about 30. min ago I am in need of money. lol

We've all been there. That's kinda why I need chips; all of my babies were sold for cash. I'm really just looking for chips atm (I like building them ground up). But, I'll keep you in mind if a cheaper x3ce doesn't surface.

Alright. The only thing wrong with the console is the LAN and HDD activity wires aren't installed. I bought it that way and it wasn't important enough for me to install them afterwards. lol
