    or Motor City Online.

I am NOT after the one that is commonly found online.

It must have a Single player or LAN version of some sort that allows me to play at least. It can be a magazine preview beta, internal, or whatever. Ive got cash and trades available.

The problem with EA betas is that they most of the time put whoever's name on the disc. I had a few that I couldn't sell because of that. You may run into some difficulty for that reason.

:\ Is it built into the game as well (the name that is?). Hell, id settle for a copy in some cases.

See, id take a copy of a cd if it was that important to withhold the identity (which i fully understand).

Same (not specificly relating to motor city, but protos in general). To me the data contained on the disc is far more important then having the original itself. Though I believe many people frown upon the idea of selling copies (even if they have not been distributed on the net).

Well if its on the disc..even though I hate doing this/having it done to me a permanent marker solves it. Ive got quite a few that are like that.

Names aren't only written on the disc. Identifying marks are often left in the code itself, especially by larger and more paranoid companies. EA, for example, has a disc mastering lab that does just that -- inserts unique code into a game so that if it is ever leaked it can be traced back to the original source. Capcom is another major publisher known to do it. How do you think Capcom knew that a staffer on DHGF was selling betas to HK back in the day?

Course all of that simply adds another reason why collectors don't like dumping code. After all, if a game disc gets outside of the collector market and into the hands of a fan who dumps it, well those collectors could find that their source is suddenly cut off. There are many rare discs that will never make their way out into the wild simply for this reason. The original owners don't want to risk their jobs (not to mention lawsuits) and the collectors they sold their goodies to don't want to risk loosing a valuable source.

Well, its still worth the shot. If someone does have a copy like that, you can 100% believe me it isnt being spread on the net. Theres not much I can do to convince you but to give my word, but I understand the dangers in selling such a disk.
