I'm looking for the matching blue controller for my debug PS1.

I'm also interested in other rare/odd PS1 hardware. mem cards, controllers, etc.

I stand corrected, they obviously exist, but I have seen a dozen or more new debug kits, and many more boxed ones over my years here, and I have never seen one for sale. It is possible that they were included in a limited run, but it certainly doesn't seem like it was the normal thing.

That's the thread I linked. AFAIK they concluded it was not original.
There are people here with fully completed, boxed debug systems, and there are no controllers included.

They only came with the first Japanese DTL1000 after that just the grey ones.

The picture above is not the only auction I've seen with blue controllers.
The blue controller can also be seen on the psyq cartridge ad:

I can also confirm that these controllers exist as I have had a couple in the past!

They only came with the Japanese DTL-H1000 models. You're not going to find one easily, I can tell you that.

Besides, the debugger unit is useless. It's just a PS1 with a custom Mechanism Controller. Basically a modchipped PS1 (grey). Collectors items. Nothing more, nothing less.

Well, it's not useless... it's an original non-modded multiregion PS1 with CD-R booting capabilities.
Of course, to take full advantage of debugging capabilities you need extra hardware, but that doesn't make it useless.

My DTL-H1102 is not multiregion... seems its PAL only, which was disapointing when I found out...

Sometimes you can find it on yahoo.co.jp auctions.
Two of them was original package with the H1000? Not sure...

Yeah the DTL-H1102 is not multi region. I have one which is PAL and it does not play NTSC games. Maybe the earlier models were (Japanese) able to?

Or maybe I'm just wrong... I don't have one; I thought I read several times they were multi-region... but my memory is not that good.

Mine DOES boot ntsc orignals and backups, but the video is monochrome. Its not the same effect as trying to play PAL on an NTSC tv, what happens with my DTL-H1102 is that the games load, but they stay black and white, but doesnt flash or refresh the way PAL on NTSC usually does.

Is that with SCART or composite?

Composite. No SCART tv available unfortunately. Wouldn't all devices work with RGB/SCART regardless of NTSC or PAL?

Also, doesnt the PSOne LCD monitor connect to the ps1 via RGB? I think I'm going to try it with the PSOne monitor later tonight if I can find my a/v adapter to carry the connection.

PS1 consoles are different than PS2.

PS1 has 50/60 hz in software. Then NTSC or PAL color in hardware. Similar to N64.
Worst part about this is an NTSC PS1 will output PAL games in NTSC 50 over composite. Difficult to find TVs supporting it.

All common PS1 revisions of any region should allow RGB. I dunno about debug or special models.
