Use your money to but that Twelve Tales cart instead. Better than a worthless plastic molding....it'd just sit there :p

That's the pic that is all over the internet.

On the other hand, well, supposedly, there were real Neptunes (you heard it here first). They were just boards. Supposedly, because I've never held one in my hands. For $100K I'll get you one faster than you can say "uranus" :p

$100,000 sega would MAKE you a fucking mars unit.

You do know the molds were reused in china and famiclones were
produced in the same shell but white.

For $15,000 I'll buy one, cram a 32x + genesis in it and paint it black for you.

No I never owned the Neptune so I wouldn't have pictures of it. Check out galleries from past CGE events and look at the museum. You should find shots.

then what about early saturn protos??

damn, i'm sure 90% of old sega protos already went to the dumpster.

First I have to find it. I'm currently going over my things and parting them out so I should run into it soon enough.

I wanna see that famiclone too. I'm surprised to hear this. How did pirates get hold of enough cases to produce a famiclone with it anyway. I'm didn't imagine there were enough of those moldings produced to actually be used for a huge quantity.

They might have used the same factory. Pirates aren't going to spend the cash to have a new mold made if they can help it. The look over the molds already made and say "hey this one will work give us 1000 of these".

Just looking at the pictures it wouldn't be too hard to put together a CAD drawing and take it to a mold producer.

It may cost a bit but no more than $1000 I would say. Then with the 32X/MD hack you could have a nice working system.

Naturally, once a mold was produced, I'd have my Neptune cast out of liquefied $100 bills rather than plain old black plastic.
