Preferably one that can be modded to 20pin if required.

Let me know what you got. Located in the UK.

Console goods sell chips with both 20 and 21 pin connections on them.

He does indeed, I just recall people selling them here cheaper. Call me a cheapass.

He doesn't list prices anymore but I've got a stash of (only) model 2 chips. Thing is a percentage I've tested don't seem to want to work as-is (damaged ribbons, badly soldered power wires are 99% of the problems and easily fixed) so there is a delay between asking to see if I have one and my ability to send one out. And now that I don't know where my personal Saturn is I can't easily test what I've got. :/

My asking price is lower than RacketBoy and SegaStyle though.

For those of you in PAL land that's great but last time I inquired about shipping this way it was far from pleasing.

Hm. I'll have to check my machine then.

It's a MK-80200-50 and my last one was 21 pin despite being a model 1 machine, so fingers crossed.

My understanding is that the later model 1s were 21 pins that transitioned into the "64 pin" model 2 which moved into "32 pin" and then Sanyo based Saturns.

I have a model 1 that I'd also like to put a modchip in to. I see Console Goods sells them but after searching around for feedback it seems a bit hit and miss whether the chip will work. Also people have commented on how when things don't work, the seller isn't particularly helpful.

Ah ok. Last time I checked with Console Goods they were asking whether I needed a 21 pin or 20 pin type. But in the signature it said the new 20 pin modchip was in production, so maybe soon it'll be available.

This will be the 4th Saturn chip I've bought from him since 09. All have been fine, but all for 21 pin drives.

Supposedly the 20 pin chip is available for £16.90 now so it's possibly in stock?

Is there a decent guide out there somewhere for installing the 20 pin chip?

I always solder the power line for piece of mind anyway.

Just changed jumpers 7, 10 and 12 to 6, 11 and 13 and bridged SW4. Waiting on chip now, but temporarily bridged the lid switch too.
