WTB 2001 launch team Xbox

I am looking for a 2001 Launch Team edition Xbox. Ideally, with the original translucent green dukes but those are not required (but would be nice to have).

Anybody have one? I'm trying to get one of these units as soon as possible. I will pay big bucks for one in great condition.

 

What's the rush? They popup on eBay every now and then.. Define "big bucks" and I'm sure owners would reply as most aren't looking to sell...

Only found this message board recently. I would also want one that was in properly working order. Never opened, not hardware issues, as pristine as could be.

 

Never opened may be an issue as these shipped with Thompson drives and the leaky clock capacitors.

 

Glad to have you here pointblank. Also thanks for buying my mountain dew xbox! I really miss that thing already! I told you this site was awesome! I will locate you a launch console. There are way more than 60 so they pop up here and there. I have a friend that has a few of them and I just emailed him.

 

The Mountain Dew Xbox is awesome. You definitely kept it in pristine condition.

What the hell? Why would you pay $1000+ for it? Are you after just the console?

For $1000 you could get the complete set than just the console and controllers...

 

1000 bucks should get you a boxed unit. Just be sure the box is all white. The white box is the only box that they came in. Any other box is just a box that someone put the console in.

 

No retail XBOX box would fit the two Duke controllers in anyway. Unless they stuff the things in ruining the box.

 

Yeah, one of the Dukes was not in the original box.

 

Don't think I've ever seen one with the box... also were they shipped with a replacement cd drive?

 

In a perfect world, I would be able to get a launch team unit, the dukes, the original packaging, and the six not for resale launch games but these seem to be really hard to come across.

I was hoping paying a premium over what they typically go for would entice some owners to sell but no luck so far.

 

I'd love to see a picture of the box, I may unknowingly have it as mine came in a plain white box shipped from Redmond, Wa, but I highly doubt it.

 

Was it a white box, or was it a normal Xbox box with a white sleeve?
