WTT: Unreleased PS1 games

I came across a retiree from Lightspan. If I still have her email I will ask her about the keyboard attachments.

 

Do you have 360x or Baldur's Gate for PS1? If not, I will put the pressure on to try to get those. I know of a person (via email) who worked on those two games. He was supposed to get back to me about getting them. I will also put pressure on another to try to get Youngblood and Carmageddon 2.

Now there was a 360 game released in Europe. 360x is like the old Atari ST game "OIDS". Is that what your 360 game is like?

 

Some type of racing game. Its like hydro thunder.

 

That would be 360 from cryo Interactive. I actually have the full retail PAL version.

Here is a quote from the person who has 360x and Baldur's Gate:

That is correct. However, Data East released it in Japan. It's one of the many Japanese games that are 100% English. No Japanese text or dialog at all. Not even Japanese subtitles! w00t!

Looks like it was developed by Argonaut Software, but I'm not sure if they really did the Playstation version. I'll have to actually try it out again.

 

Gotta love it. I have a game which is like 50% french and 50% English. Worse yet its a point and click adventure like Myst with mucho text. I have no idea whats going on.

Which game is that? Is it a PAL game? And why is it 50% each?

 

I guess they were in the middle of translating it. Its Versailles 1865.

Ugh. I'm fairly positive I have it. The one I have is in 100% English. I think it's the same company that did the Dracula Resurrection game as well. (Going by memory). They did make some awful point and click adventure games.

I thought so, but wasn't about to guess and look bad if I got it wrong. I'll pull it out later tonight and take some screenshots because I thought it was English but now I'm questioning that.

 

There was also Black and White unreleased for ps1...

 

I haven't seen anyone with it unless Buyatari has it

 

and this one i was desperatly seeking called Knights of Genesis (by Escot) it was suppose to be a 2 disk Strategy RPG from Japan (I have screenshots of the game in an old Japanese magazine somewhere)


(Its similar to the one mentioned here http://rpgfan.com/news/1999/796.html) maybe ill try to pickup Tempest somewhere

 

Even though I collect imports, I don't really want to start collecting the unplayable games. This could mean RPGs that are heavy in Japanese text and not intuitively easy, pachinko, sports, anime dating, horse racing, or strategy. I could go broke if I collected every Japanese release and I wouldn't even touch those unplayable ones. I do know someone who has every Japanese release. I don't think he'll speak to me anymore since I have nothing to offer him. He even backed up his entire Japanese PS1 collection on DVD-Rs.
