This is the best WWE game yet in my opinion. The wrestlers and announcers all look very realistic. The amount of realism is just incredible. There has never been a wrestling game quite like it. Although the roster is a bit disorganised, it's still one hell of a game. There should definitely be more great games like this. :nod: My favourite wrestler right now is probably Batista. I prefer it when he is a good guy instead of a heel. It's very sad that Eddie Guerrero is gone forever and I hope they include him as a legend in every future WWE game. :crying: My favourite matches are the Elimination Chamber battles. They bring back some good and bad memories of when Hunter got his butt kicked in the very first Elimination Chamber match, but he would then go on to win subsequent matches. :banghead: It's cool how you can now play Christy Hemme, the best diva of the lot. I heard she got released though and I think that sucks beyond sucking. Perhaps WWE will look her over and hire her again. Apparently she went to OVW to train, but was released while she was there. ray: Now about the entrances, I thought they were superb, but where were Kurt Angle's medals? His entrance just isn't complete without them. :shrug:
the game is the best wrestling game since the later N64 stuff, but it still has flaws. I assume you haven't played a 6 man tag team match or ladder match yet, or you'd notice the shit AI. In ladder matches, the opponent only sets up and climbs ladders, there's no beating you up from him..then if you climb the ladder after him, you're locked in an endless punching battle until you get bored and give up, then he suplexes you off the ladder for a shitload of damage and climbs back for the win. Even if you do beat the shit out of him and climb the ladder, you have to hang onto the belt for like 20 seconds for the win. However, the opponent gets up and grabs your legs, pulling you down for basically a KO since he can always get up the ladder and win without you even getting up once. These matches blow and ruin the sotrylines they are used in for season mode. The tag match AI blows as well since your partner never cares about ringouts and either gets counted out or even gets caught doing submission moves on their own partners in tag matches with like 3 guys on each side. It also sucks. The reversals are way out of hand and leave you holding a finger on both the R2 and L2 buttons hitting them a million times the whole match. I love this game, but it does have it's huge flaws. You also can't use certain wrestlers for season mode since they didn't get their voices, kinda sucks too. I also don't get why they gave some players alternate costumes, like kane's masked costume, butthen make 3 hogan characters...that are basically the same.
Wrestling sucks I mean, it's a game based on a fake 'sport'! If you are going to play a fighting game why not play somthing inifinatly better like Soul Calibur, Dead or Alive, or Vitrua Fighter? Or even real games based on real figthing like Boxing or UFC?
As much as the story is faked, the people wrestling are athletes, and some of the injuries are obviously real
Well, while it isn't a sport per se, I surely wouldn't want to jump forwards from the top of an ladder, or lie on the floor waiting for a 135kg monster to land on me. No sireee.
Can you make your own wrestler in this game? I used to borrow my brothers Wrestling games and I made a guy maximum fatness in every category and he was fatter than Rikishi! I also made a guy that was as skinny as a broomstick and he could easily kick the fat guys ass! :lol: If you could make your own guys, I might consider getting it to mess around.
Just because it's fake doesn't mean the games aren't fun. I don't watch wresting at all and I haven't played a wrestling game in years, but man those WWF games in the arcades back in the early 90's were a blast. My friends and I used to pump quarters into the 4-player one (WWF WrestleFest I think it was) like there was no tomorrow and beat the crap out of each other. Ahh... those were the days, when arcades were still cool and every mall had one...
the CAW is pretty damn nice. Lots of options for you to fully customize...like layers and stuff to make detailed tattoos and the head morphing pretty much lets you make any face or whatever. I've seen fantastic stings and some of the lesser known guys. It winds up as a lot of work for the better looking guys with all the stuff you have in the formula, but they look great. It's the minor stuff that brings it down. There's only lame names to pick for the ring announcers to say and then there's like 5 CAW voice for if you want to use them in season...and they all suck ass when shenmue style voice acting... lol
