I wonder if this showed up at least in any TBA lists at any point back in the day.

 

N64 Magazine first listed it in their release charts in issue 26 (March 1999) as a 1999/TBA release, published by Activision, developed by Neversoft.
It's last listed in issue 42 (June 2000) with release date of June that year in the US, then disappears without mention.

 

Yeah, it was known to be a thing. Most of the development files I have for it are for the PS1 version.
