    If you read the little paragraph under the boxed beta 1s you will see what happened, and the last pic I put up in the other post, that was sold to sneaky peanut which then I believe went to gelberhase.

    I did mate, these are all photos at least 2 years old now. The ones I've just posted are randoms I found from an old folder from my blackberry as card, all other photos are in relevant folders. Hence the new avatar :) in case anyone's interested, left to right is;

    Refurbed Zephyr with sidecar, packaging and starters manual
    Minty fresh Jasper
    Beta 2 XeDK with prototype HDD
    Blue XNA expo 1GB kit

    I was commenting on The new referring to it as "lost". I can imagine selling off, but not necessarily losing everything.

    A lot of it was sold, but the last of my stuff, was taken, which therefore took me out of the scene :( I'm back now though in hope that its all calmed down.

    Like I said mate, its in the paragrah, MS stepped in and pretty much stripped me, also if anyone remembers, they also visited shark from TTG and a friend of mine. All bad times......

    Yep, I was selling about 3 maybe 4 kits a month, I wasnt exactly low key, though they only stepped in at the point of the two boxed beta 1s and said it was still their property, which legally, yes, but its just pure jobsworth ms. They were and only could have been collectors items, could not have been used maliciously. My guess is they wouldve just been destroyed like all other waste kits.

    Damn. That's what I was fearing you'd say happened, I just didn't want to outright ask.

    Its fine mate. I think they've got their heads stuck down now working out how to sell the Xbox One, since they are doing a miserable job of it so far haha. Seriously though I think theyve calmed down on being hard asses and see that we only collect because we have a passion for their work.

    I cant speak for MS, but I assume its all calmed down, and having a personal kit and using it for personal use, should be all ok now, and due to the fact PNet is whitelisted, that removes the threat of intellectual property being stolen (how I got in trouble in the first place, before the kits got taken). It used to be crazy back in the day kits were coming through thick and fast, I used to have a 'shop' over at se7ensins and shark had his over at TTG. I guess that really ticked microsoft off.

    Were they obscure about it and busted down your door? or did they start off with emails. then moved up to phone calls, until getting.. perhaps police involved? what went down :eek:

    They already had my details when they collected the kits. The first time it was two lawyers at my door early on a saturday or sunday morning, one from MS and one from Activision (who was also a lawyer for Blizzard, even before the team up so I did find that a bit strange) it was only a cease and desist order, which I found fair of them, although I missed or over read the part where it also stated that I had hacked a desktop over at Activision's studio, which I never did but it was all friendly and better than a lawsuit, ending up like xenon7 or nathan leroux, so I wasn't too bothered. Second time was a phone call about possession of the kits and to either surrender them or action would be taken. I was told there would be an NDA (well I actually asked about an NDA, since they didnt) after the first encounter but they never sent one. It's all in the past now and I hope MS dont mind me sharing. I don't want to put them in a bad light, as I do hope they are actually more lenient nowadays.

    Its fine haha, like I said its in the past now, i hope its dead in the water with them. I used to own brass knuckles at that time, but to say I'm in the UK and they were lawyers, not a good idea as it carries the same offence as wielding a blade, on top of being an illegal item haha.
