I went out and bought an Xbox 360 PAL, eventhough i told myself i wouldnt/shoudlnt do that. Anyway im regretting it already. Im using a VGA cable with the thing, and i recently got the Himan game for the 360. Hitman refuses to work, it says "you need PAL-60, go to system settings blabla and change output to PAL-60". When i look there, i cant change to PAL-50 or PAL-60, but i can only change screen resolution and i tihnk 4:3-16:9. I read somewhere else that this is some lame bug and you should connect the 360 to a "normal" tv set, and set it to PAL-60, then connect the VGA cable again. BUT! I already gave that cable away to someone who wanted a component cable, and since i didnt need it because i had the VGA cable... Xbox support line says "return the game to store", store says "we dont refund used games". So basically i paid shitloads for a disc i cant use. What can i do now, is there some other address or number within microsoft that can help you with this?? Suddenly i understand why people flash their firmwares, GRRRRR :crying:
Last dash update i had was 1 or 2 weeks ago. The UTP is always plugged in, so i dont think its even possible to miss an update
i know this one Nope, i can confirm fall update did not fix this. You ll need to get a component cable, its the only way you can set this. Here is what i did: 1) switch off console 2) find the chunky switch on the HD component cable thats plugged into your 360, and set it to TV (it should have been on HDTV) 3) go to your system menu into display settings, set it to PAL-60 4) power down again and set the switch back to HDTV 5) setting stuck for me and everything works. best tubo
I just noticed xbox support sucks too I called them twice, waiting time is 45 mins approx and they dont have a clue what im talking about when i mention PAL-60
