Just a quick one, if I order a PSU from the US it will be 100v I'm in the UK and our mains is 240v so I will need a step-down, it should still work shouldn't it as the output voltage and amperage is the same rating as a UK PSU. I can get 3 shipped from the US for £50. A bit of a pain to have to pay out that much for some PSUs but considering the price I paid for the XDKs I guess I can't complain to much.

You should ask around as to what the other european collectors do, that seems like a huge hassle

    Hey all,

So they arrived today. They all look like they are Jasper XDK units with the PIX / DVD Emu USB Sidecart attachment.

I have no idea about the mobo hardware revisions etc in terms of reliability, rarity, worth or what people prefer.

Any info would be nice :)

    Thanks

No worries my man, I know you're a very trustworthy seller on the site + you're British so you just kind of fitted the bill :)

PSUs now sourced and should be landing tomorrow, will be tested over the bank holiday and I will report any findings back here.

Does anyone have any guides regarding data recovery if any game builds are found or if there are any other files to keep an eye out for?

Thanks for all the help so far.

Probably the quickest way to find out is by booting up each of the kits and looking for anything that doesn't seem box-standard. Usually a default.xex on xshell means there's a build of some description contained on the Harddrive. Another way of doing it is by installing the SDK, opening Neighbourhood, and then FTP'ing over folders that look like they're for a game.

I'm sure there are also data-recovery methods incase the kits were wiped but I really don't know anything about that. I really don't know what the success rate is as I'm sure it depends on whether the sectors on the Harddrive that contained the data have been used for something else?

Anyways best of luck and hopefully you find some neat stuff!

I think I have found an unreleased game, it's listed at ruffking_release.xex, there is no loading screen, boots straight into a roman area and that's it. You can do fighting moves, suicide and bring a dummy in through the menu. So far two of the consoles have different builds of it on. One with no textures on the player or dummy and poor controls and one with textures and improved controls. I will upload more info and pictures soon.

    Latest build was 07/01/2011
