Xbox 360 Zephyr Stress Prototype (With weird wires 0_o)

UPDATE: After messing around with the unit I was able to figure out how it works. Basically if you have it hooked up with Ethernet and the hdd with the files it will auto boot into them. So after booting the console without an Ethernet connected I found it loads into xshell so extremely pleased that its an actual test unit that can function outside of just using these files. Granted it is running an extremely old recovery and I am not going to be updating it anytime soon or even at all.

So here is something that I believe not many have seen before. I haven't opened it up just yet but I will be doing that as all seals have been broken. There is a board inside this unit that I personally have never seen before on an Xbox 360 so I am excited needless to say.

Has some pretty official looking files on the hdd if you ask me.

 

I don't believe anything stamped with .kr is Microsoft, I would assume its more of a modders tool maybe?

 

Microsoft outsourced for nearly everything when it came to extra daughterboards.
When you think of it, where do you think MS purchased the header connectors for the sidecar? they didn't hand make those, they are just bought from a second supply warehouse that they ordered to be their designated testing company for parts that won't go on the final. this board might have only been mass produced for microsoft from some strange thirdparty connection. but when its all you got, its all you got ..

 

Looks like its used to test DVD drives. Fun.

Don't see why I didn't try that before! Seems odd though as the unit makes a lot of noise when moved around with a disc "loaded."

 

That actually made me lol. I guess ejecting it would've been a challenge.

 

Not that hard just gotta give it a good shake and she'll come right out! Must have been M$'s new prototype slot load roulette drive.

Could it be that this 360 is also rigged to use an external DVD drive? Or... DVD emulation?
That Digitalbank board fakes an Eject button (also, there's a jumper), so the 360 recognizes that the disc is being ejected. That gray-sleeved cable allows you to have it external (along with other things wich are probably DVD-related stuff).
The soldered cables likely sends a signal to the 360 to open/close the tray, and fakes a pwr load so it thinks it's really there. The silkscreen seems to be pretty much self-explainatory, but some details cannot be seen.
Can you get a top-down view of the board and detailed photos of the cables (untied) that stick out of the box?
