    Hi I was wondering what my xbox debug kit is worth?
    It has the usual debug kit software plus a game in development stage that the original owner was working on. (I'm not sure on the rules on whether I can post the title or not).

    It is the green clear case version and has debug kit written on it in silver.

    Any help would be appreciated thanks!

    $200-$300 depending on what titles are still on it. Some people will buy it just for the beta xbe's.

    If it's stock and the game has already been dumped then around $200. If it is a version that hasn't been released then you're looking at more. I can tell you it's a DVT-4. My debug has a mfg. date of 2002-05-07. With yours being around a month later mfg. tells me that it's most likely a DVT-4. Rather common and not worth as much as a DVT-6.

    Also depends if the console has been opened and brutalised as most collectors want the stickers intact.

    Thanks for the quick replies!

    It has a released game on it (can I post the name if it is relevant?) and I'm not too sure if it has been opened I haven't opened it myself but I cannot say whether or not the previous owner did is there a way to tell?

    Well judging by the sticker shown it has been opened as it looks like it has been peeled of and put back on.
    also check the other stickers as some cover the screws so there is either a hole in the sticker or the sticker has been completely removed.
    price wise I have seen them sell between £82.00/£115.00 dependant on version and condition
    some more if they have the original USB wire and software.

    Hey borman what USB wire? I have not seen that before. Also what controller did the debug come with? Green or black?

    I didnt post in this thread hah. But some early kits included the Xbox USB adapter that allows you to hook up a keyboard. Should be pretty much the same as the Phantasy Star Online adapter, if not the same (Im not entirely sure where my MS USB adapter is). Most came with black controllers, although there may be a limited amount of debug or dev kits that shipped with green dukes according to some lists.

    Wow green dukes! Now thats a unit that I want to come across! I have the official Phantasy Star Online adapter already. But I did not know that microsoft had made one! I NEED ONE NOW! Now they came with 1 or 2 controllers?

    Also what about the clear DEV KIT? Black Dukes?

    The only time Green Dukes came with a console, to my knowledge, was the 2001 Launch Team Console. But if Borman says they came with the debug's, I tend to believe him.

    Standard black dukes with most dev kits, and probably some dakotas at some point.

    The PSO one is likely the Microsoft made one. I cant find pictures to compare to my memory of them.

    And yes, I was actually proven wrong about the green duke and debug thing.

    Here is the PSO adapter. I love to collect these official tools/devices. I have a few different USB adapters also. Like the smartxx USB and the Xenium USB adapters. I have a couple of versions of the action replay also.

    Green Dukes were probably left over from the few destroyed Launch Team consoles.

    The word destroyed and launch console should never be used in the same sentence! Take it back!!!!!!!

    I'm interested in what OP's released game is. I'm sure someone will pick it up for $200

    @sonicdude10 Iirc, all debug kits and DVT4's used 1.0 motherboards. I have a DVT4 mfg in 2005 and it still uses a Conexant encoder. Chihiro seems like an exception to this rule. DVT6 seems to refer to the 1.6 prototypes. I would guess a DVT5 would refer to the FOCUS encoder mobos. Post DVT4 revisions seem to be found in black cases as test units.

    I have a debug with a 1.2 or 1.3 motherboard and I was under the impression that was the DVT-6 motherboard. It does not have the 1.0-1.1 PSU connector. That is still a DVT-4? I have been asking this question for awhile and I hope you can clear this up!

    Conexant = DVT-4
    Focus = DVT-5
    1.6's = DVT-6
