Because I hate it... Fanboy? No so much, maybe one day soon. But hey it doesn't stop me buying crappy XBOX and XBOX360 in the past to enjoy one game I ever liked ..is Project Gothamracing series. I won't buying bullshit XBOXONE due to bullshit policy they had in the past. oh dear I have commenting again.
I think Nintendo blew all their 3DS games for last year, which was almost unfairly stacked with AAA games. Back to the XB1, I wouldn't be surprised if Microsoft eventually releases a slim version, especially if all the teardowns I've seen are true and the thing has a massive desktop fan in it now (they really, really didn't want the thing to RROD)
While I understand wanting the option to buy a 'core' setup without the Kinect, I think the only way to go with an add on is to have it packed in. Otherwise it fragments the market. Historically add ons haven't been supported by customers or publishers which ends up being a circular death trap for the add on.
The Xbox is my favorite console but I still have not bought an Xbox One for playing yet, it doesn't interest me at all right now. I was actually hoping there was a game I wanted to play on the PS4 so I would have an excuse to buy it because the console looks awesome IMO. I know at some point I will get an Xbox One to play but it doesn't look like it will be soon. :/
This PS4 number is for customers, Xbone to retailers. Sony reveals shipped numbers at the end of fiscal year. Xbone is available in many contries too because international shops import them. But nobody wants Xbone outside USA and UK. Only if you could play pirated games.
People sure do enjoy being spied on even after news that M$ is more than happy to comply. http://www.theguardian.com/world/2013/jul/11/microsoft-nsa-collaboration-user-data That and M$ being shamelessly greedy when it announced its bullshit policies when unveiling the X1. But hey morals don't play Halo right?
Microsoft has given up on Japan and are treating it as a second tier market, so it won't be released there until this September. Obviously that isn't going to do it any favours in terms of sales figures.
