"Xbox One X version coming...". For fuck's sake, that's about as great an argument in favour of a gaming PC as you could make. I've bought far too many versions of the new Tomb Raider games as is. These enhancements could easily be downloadable patches.

Wouldn't defending pc gaming be fanboyism? In reality making a case about why something you are interested in is better than the alternative could be considered fanboyism. Why is that bad? The endless passionate threads and videos prove to be great entertainment. Either way if I'm good at something I'm obviously a try-hard.
Considering I don't have a gaming PC at the moment no it's not. Let's not kid ourselves XBOX ONE is the only Console currently that has nearly all it's games available in another format. The case I'm making is valid.
Other than people who just like the xbox experience, dont want a gaming pc. People can have different opinions, doesnt make them monsters. Sure, you can get a PS4 and a PC and not need an xbox. Or I could just get an xbox and play what games I am bothered about. You can get a PS4 or a PS4 and a PC. Or a switch. Who cares, its just a console. People buy what they want, its like complaining about people wanting a different brand car to you and just because yours can drive to all the same places, theres no point this other car existing and anyone who prefers it is wrong.
I'm getting the X since I still got the "Phat" xbox one + with employee discount as well selling my old system to family members to offset the cost isn't bad.
You know what I find bloody stupid is that to see many of these differences you need to zoom the image to something like x800. I really couldn't give a crap about such detail as we can't see it under normal gaming. . This isn't a go at Xbox One X either, I'm talking about everything. What we need is pure 60fps (which Xbox One X is doing) at 4K. All of these AA filters really don't make much difference when playing unless you're truly anal about such stuff and have eyes like an eagle. Oh, and for all the PC fan boys. How much does a PC running games at max setting like an Xbox One X cost? At least twice as much as the console that's for sure. Keep that in mind.
What's the origin of "fanboyism"? Types of personnality or marketing scheme? Anyhow, I'm getting a XxXboxXxX (or whatever they write it) even if I have all other consoles(minus Switch) and a gaming PC Tell me about it! I need to upgrade my PC and it cost more than a XboX or PS4 Pro.
A friend of mine was trying to fanboy the PS4 over the Xbox One and I said he can go find a middle school lunch room for that crap because no one here cares. Everyone in the chat had both consoles. Even though I don't plan on getting one right now, the Xbox One X is a real good value for what you get with it. Also while I am not defending PC fanboys here, one cannot deny that a PC can do worlds more than an Xbox One X plus the PC has Steam.

I concur, though the only drawback to me with console gaming is they gate your internet use on it if you don't pay them a subscription fee, even if the publishers host their own matchmaking servers. I don't see how this is not illegal, but whatever. It would be almost the same as microsoft charging you to play games online on windows pc. Oh wait, they already tried that with microsoft-published games.
Specs to look over, the memory line surprised me as it allocates more memory to games then what the other consoles have for total memory in the system. Past 5 years bottlenecks has been storage, why do they still put slower hard drives in these consoles?
I guess it's a decision based on cost. I don't mind that they put a cheap HDD in there, but what I want is performance improvement if I upgrade for a faster HDD like a SSD.
