XBOX slim case mod

I used to use my old XBOX for XBMC, most amazing app ever!
i then switched to using my PS3 and got so frustrated that half of my media files wouldn't run that i switched back to the xbox just for all my media center needs!!!

love the original xbox.

 

Oh my its GTM Grand Theft Mod. Or maybe not.

 

Not me, although i do like the jewel, i think i went overboard by making mines backlit.
Getting 'video unavailable', but from the comments, it's just the case.
Strange, coz fitting the insides isn't too difficult.
I'm sure a few people done this mod before me, there's quite a few on youtube and there was one on ebay a while ago, although it had a nasty metallic blue paintjob and superbright led's behind the controller ports.
Some modders don't know when to stop...

There's a few people who've asked me to do this mod for them, the only problem i'm having is finding a decent modchip.
The xecuter3 (which seems the best) is discontinued, but i'm sure some place will have a few lying around.
Time to go google...

Why Dont You Just Soft Mod Instead of a Chip?

 

I used a chip because at the time I read that it's easier to set up a new hdd, disable the mod, and recover from any problems than with a softmod.

Never done a softmod so whether that's true or not, I dunno.
