Yabai ze indeed. Hopefull we will see large discounts in the gaps of releases in order to keep the momentum going. Ho hum.
Thats not too bad for a launch lineup. Pretty similar to both DS and PSP, Except the DS had mario 64...
Thank God that's the US line up and not over here. Mind you, we'll probably get a lot of that shite as well. Yakumo
There's a pretty decent selection of titles there...don't see exactly what the issue is. I doubt the overhyped PS3 will have anywhere near that number of titles for its launch.
PD Zero: Regular edition? Is it missing any features or do they plan on releasing a limited edition set soon afterwards.
Theres at least 4 games I'd like on the release day list. Thats better than a hell of a lot of launches - the DS had 2 I liked, PSP 2, Cube 2, Xbox 2, and I can't remember launch titles for other consoles Theres something for most people on there, and since sport titles sell, it makes sense to include themm. The japanese lineup will be interesting however...
Wasn't this supposed to come out in '97? Wow... So far the lineup doesn't have me impressed. I could care less about Perfect Dark. The only game I'd like to play is Oblivion (I'm a huge Elder Scrolls nut), and that's coming out on PC.
You're still left with the big titles, and coincidentally, the games I would buy if I could afford a 360. I also expect these to be the biggest sellers:- Ridge Racer 6 Project Gotham 3 Dead or alive 4 Kameo Perfect Dark Zero Ridge Racer and PGR I guess are sports titles, although i consider racing to be seperate to other sport titles. My main criticism is too many sequels. Kameo is the only one from my list which isn't a sequel/prequel. Also why release so many games before the official release date? I'd rather have an extra week spent on development, perhaps thats just me...
I can't remember the last good console launch. The PS2 launch in Japan was awful. The Dreamcast had a whopping 3 games IIRC (I didn't buy one for a while though, so could be wrong).
Console launches are NEVER good. Instead, now's the time to get excited about all those final releases for the dying console generation. Those games are usually the best anyway. Dare I remind you of Alien Soldier, Sapphire, Zanac X Zanac, Rendering Ranger... Detect a pattern?
I probably would have bought an Xbox 360 if NHL 2K6 looked better than the xbox version. Anyone want to drink mountain dew for me?
Nothing that's going to make me buy it on launch day (first console to hold back on since SS) but that's a damn decent launch. If even 1/4 of those games manage to hold early adopters' interests than I think it will be noted as very successful. However, if they release a new 360 in say, March, with the HD-DVD they keep talking about, those early adopters might get pretty pissed.
