Hi everybody from Italy! I've got an XBox360 XDK, I worked for a videogame webjournal and I used it to play with preview games. Now I would convert it in a normal Xbox360, to play with retail games. How can I do it? Thanks

Dont, hack it to play retail but keep it working as a XDK. Also worth more.

To play retail games first you need to rip a 360 game then use x360gamehack to patch the game to debug.

You need a newer recovery for it. Once you get the recovery run on your PC with your XDK on the same network.

Since it looks like you have no interest in development I'd probably just go sell it and buy a new retail unit, you'd probably have money to spare and someone could actually use those development features. You need over 50 posts to sell on assemblr though

Don't go screwing with an XDK that a collector or programmer could/would use. Retail units are cheap anyway... You could buy 2 with the money you get from the XDK.

OK I would prefer to sell XDK, I wouldn't use it as a developer could... do you think it's a good idea sell it on ebay?

Don't sell it on Ebay. Microsoft has been known to cancel auctions, or even request that you send them the kit, so you'll be out both a kit and money.

I want to clarify that my console seems to be a Demo Kit.
From what I can read on web, I think it's a limited XDK.

Do you think it would be better to convert it into a retail?

Where I can download the x360gamehack? Can I use any version?

Thanks in advance for the answers

Thanks Pikkon. So, if I can understand (I'm newbie), I download a game in iso, I patch it with gamehack for DevKit, the I should be able to boot game?

Other questions. The dashboard is very old (like this one: http://files.xboxic.com/general/xbox-360-dashboard/spring-update/xboxscreen008.jpg), also the firmware.
The newest games check the version? Or, because it's a devkit, they didin't?
If there is the version check, can you explain me (or give me a link to a page) how to update the firmware/dashboard?
There are specific update for devkit or I can use retail updates?

    Thanks in advance
